MAC Candy Yum Yum| Review & Swatch

I have heard many women saying that MAC is a hyped brand. I completely understand that we all have different opinion (a lot love this brand & a lot may not). But I personally feel that MAC is brand which You can love it or hate it but simply can’t ignore it 😉 Mac launched Candy Yum Yum which was a limited edition shade but it got so popular that now it is a regular shade. Its a perfect spring/ summer shade. I ordered this from Nykaa.

Packaging: Nothing fancy about the packaging as it comes in a regular MAC style with a typical solid black bullet Packaging. I love how the silver ring in the middle pf the outer product shines and make the product look more posh and though it’s a usual MAC style it definitely looks classy and feel luxurious. Product’s bottom part has the code and the name whereas the outer carton bears all the vital details and I love how they mention all the ingredients.

My opinion about the product: Its a super bright blue based neon pink. I was scared that it will wash me off  but surprisingly it doesn’t did the same. It is not an everyday colour (I personally don’t wear this much bold shade in day today life), its more like a  bold, statemented colour. It is perfect for the summer with less eyes make-up. Basically you have to keep your makeup simple with this lipstick on. This shade goes well with Indian skin tone but I think it makes you look a bit duskier too.

Instead the application was very smooth and of course after the application I felt it to be a bit drying which is totally normal for a matte lipstick and as I always say in all my reviews follow the Mantra “Exfoliate, apply lip balm before applying the Matte Product” which is an open secret now. Kudos to its high staying Power. Though I know being a matte lipstick it’s going to stay for a long time I was stunned since it did not fade away or crumble even after good 8 hours. I think it is a good product to be used on a busy day where you will not have time for multiple touch-ups. Definitely you should go for it if you are looking for a pink & bold lip shade.

(Online availability can be an issue. However available to Nykaa but it is a non returnable item so if you will receive a broken one then you heart too will break ;( . I had this bad experience with Ruby Woo shade in past.

Tip: It is also available in the “Mini” range and it costs 900 Rupees which is affordable compared to the full size product. You can keep this as option, if not willing to pay 1,700 Rs.
