Welcome to my short & crispy blog post in which I am going to review Mars Lip Balm-Strawberry. I think it is a made in China brand as packaging mentions made in P.R.C and designed in India. However it is not a new brand for me, I have seen it’s product in many local stores. No one has done a blog post on it, including me (till date) but few days back I saw a well known website is selling this brand products (not actually website but the seller on that particular website) more than the expected price. So I went to find the reality, to my surprise the lip balm that website was selling for ₹129 actually has a MRP of ₹59 and shopkeeper gave it me in ₹50 (without ant bargain). So I am writing this post with hope that anyone buying this can save his/her money (I hope you read my review before buying the product).
Ingredients: Nothing mentioned on the packaging.
Price: ₹ 50
Quantity: 4.5 gm
Shelf life: 4 Years
How to use it: Place the tip of the container against your bottom lip and apply a thin, even layer of the balm, then repeat for your top lip.
Packaging: It comes in a Red colored retraceable tube which is absolutely sleek and cute. For its price range, I really appreciate this. And one more round of applause for its twist up factor as I am not a very big fan of pot packaging as I feel it’s unhygienic. One more good thing that it has its expiry dated printed on the packaging which is definitely appreciable. Yes! its not luxurious looking but it is not fair to expect that much from a product tagged at a price of only ₹ 50.
My opinion about the product: This strawberry lip balm in tinted one which imparts reddish pigment to your lips. However the pigment is not the strong and fades away soon too. You will definitely need 3-4 swipes to build up a color on your lips. Hydration power too in on lower side, lips remain nourished for 30-35 minutes. After that you definitely need touch up 😉 I won’t be comparing it with any other brand as it is difficult to find lip balm at this range. Definitely a good option for school or college going girls but one thing which is strongly stopping me from recommending this lip balm is that the ingredient list is completely missing from the packaging.
ZZM Rating: ♥♥ 2.4/5 ♥♥
