Hello Everyone!
Currently there are 25 shades available in Colourpop Crème Gel Liner range. These gel liners are available at an reasonable price of $5 each for 0.01 oz. Being an eyeliner lover, I love trying different shades. So this time, I picked up total 12 shades. Believe me I thought thrice before placing this order. I’ve been wearing and testing them for about 5 months (since I have received my parcel!). I guess, I have a really good handle on them and can share my review about the same. Buying these eyeliners from Indian website can be a bit expensive as they are selling them at a very high cost.
Packaging: The packaging is simple and fuss free, more or less similar to the ColorPop Star Crossed Colors Creme Gel Liner Vault (Click Here to read) . They’re a twist up pencil, and they don’t need to be sharpened. I find the colour indicator on the packaging pretty accurate, except for the gold shade. Overall the packaging is pretty statisfying 🙂
My opinion about the product: I am really impressed with the formula of these eyeliners. The metallics are the stars of the range — they glide on very smoothly and the formula is creamy and pigmented. The staying power is pretty decent and stays around 6-7 hours on my eyes and after that starts fading. On the other hand the mattes are a bit drier in formula, and therefore are a little bit more difficult to work with. On the other hand staying power of mattes are more impressive, stays around good 8-9 hours before fading. So, I think you have to compromise wear time for smoothness and easy-of-use with these liners. One characteristic that’s true of both the mattes and the metallics is that they’ll break off if you twist them up too far. So, make sure not to twist them up any further than you see in these photos to avoid breakage.
To be honest, I find the gel-based formula pretty comparable to each of these higher end alternatives in both formula similarities and wear time. If you’re looking for a great alternative to higher-end eyeliners then Colourpop Crème Gel Liners can be a really good option. I have very sensitive which gets irritated easily. Eyeliners also tend to wear off quickly on me because my eyes can be watery. But this range of eyeliners holds up on me, so I guess it will work for the majority of people 🙂 Icing on the cake is that it’s does not cause any kind of irritation post application. They’re a truly budge-proof formula once they fully set, which takes about 30 seconds. So, if you want to smudge them out with a pencil brush, you have a bit of time to work with them.
To get these gel liners off, you will need a good oil, or oil-based cleanser. If you not willing to spend a lot on makeup remover the coconut or jojoba oil can be a good option. You have to apply some jojoba or coconut oil to your palm, then pick it up with your fingers and massage gently into my closed eyes (can also be used on face and lips). This will take off all the makeup applied on your face.
Definitely this will be a good buy and you won’t regret adding these eyeliners in your vanity.
