Hello Dearies
If you are reading this post, you are a lipstick lover like me 😉 I love trying lipstick of different brands. Sometimes you are happy with high end brand like MAC and sometimes with local brand. Believe me it is difficult to be a lipstick lover and journey of finding a perfect lip shade is like a roller coaster ride. Today I am introducing you lipstick from brand “Sugar POP”. They have the range of Matte lipstick which currently have total 5 shades: Taupe, Candy, Scarlet, Caramel and Chocolate. Not much reviews are available online about these lipsticks so I was confused regarding the shade. But finally made my mind for SUGAR POP Matte Lipstick in shade Caramel-04.

Packaging: The packaging is pretty similar to the lip balm of this brand. You can click Here to read complete review about the lip balm. This lipstick comes in a compact, rectangular outer box/packaging with a glossy finish. The design features a vibrant colorful pattern, reflecting the colorful nature of these lipsticks. The brand and product name are prominently displayed on the front, along with a brief description of its benefits. The back side of the box contain additional information, such as ingredient highlights, usage instructions, and important warnings.
The lipstick itself is housed in a sleek, cylindrical pink container that is easy to hold and carry. The container is made of plastic (for lip balm it is good but for lipstick it is looking a bit cheap). The twist-up mechanism at the bottom makes it convenient to dispense the product. The color of the outer packaging and the tube is same for each and every variant/shade. At the bottom you will find a sticker mentioning shade name and number. The packaging is girlish!
My opinion about the product: Caramel is a brownish orange shade. For some women it can be too dark for an everyday colour, but I think, especially with minimal eye makeup, it would look a mix of fresh and sophisticated. I would say this these lipstick is not 100% matte, but I’m alright with that (decently price no?). Although not being completely matte may impact the longevity and the wear of the lipstick I think this means that they are not drying on the lips.
They still have that small portion of moisture in the formula to still be able to apply smoothly and not to accentuate fine lines on the mouth. You won’t get the same wear time and transfer resistance as with a liquid lipstick, however, I got on average 4-6 hours before I had to reapply, (it varied due to factors such as drinking and eating).
Whilst for some that may not be a long time, it doesn’t particularly bother me as reapplying the colour is very easy as it doesn’t clump or get patchy. The shade is good and the quality too is good. You won’t get anything to rave about but at the same time keeping price in mind it is a decent product. But definitely I am not going to buy another shade of this brand. Will definitely would like to try something new guys 😉
