Buying MAC lipstick used to be dream during my college days. I belong to a small town where I never saw any lady flaunting her MAC shade. But being a make up lover, I was well aware about the things going in the makeup world. My first MAC lipstick was a gift from my husband and after that I collected many shades from this brand 😊. In this post I will be reviewing nude shades from this brand. I have Mocha, Velvet Teddy, Kinda Sexy & Cherish in my collection and this post is all about them. Each of them is simply gorgeous!

Packaging: Nothing fancy about the packaging as it comes in a regular MAC style with a typical solid black bullet Packaging. I love how the silver ring in the middle pf the outer product shines and make the product look posher and though it’s a usual MAC style it definitely looks classy and feel luxurious. Product’s bottom part has the code and the name whereas the outer carton bears all the vital details and I love how they mention all the ingredients.
Shade
Mocha: A peachy yellow/orange brown and would work as a lovely nude and earthy lipstick for those with medium to dark skin.
Velvet Teddy: It is a matte warm, pinky nude with a brown undertone.
Kinda Sexy: It is a moderately warm-toned, light coral with a semi-matte finish.
Cherish: It is a soft, muted and peachy beige shade.
My opinion about the product: It’s a matte formulation, but it’s not at all drying. I used a bit of lip balm underneath, I always love applying a clear coat of Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment underneath any lipstick or lip gloss because it automatically gives my lips a healthy and plump effect, and moisturizes them to perfection.
The lipstick wore for about 3 to 4 hours, and I’m sure it would’ve lasted longer, but I honestly can’t stand even the thought of eating with anything on my lips. I always have to wipe it off beforehand because I know I would spend my entire meal just trying to make sure my lipstick doesn’t transfer onto my burger or something. Am I alone in this? Hopefully not!
The one downside is it is very moisturizing, but it does transfer. I did a kiss test to the back of my hand, a napkin, and accidentally with my 2 years old’s cheeks, and they transferred onto everything. I would rather it not transfer, but it doesn’t bother me all too much because I simply adore all the shades
One upside is I found that I don’t even need to bother with a lip liner when using this lipstick. It just goes on so creamy and smooth, and I’m sure a lip liner may make it more precise, and help it to last longer, but honestly it applied perfectly without, so I didn’t find the need to apply one.
