Hello Dearie!
I’ve been meaning to review this product for ages, but I kept forgetting. To make sure I remembered what it was like, I saved the remains and used them in the days leading up to this review. Fortunately, I have some time this morning and plan to get a couple of reviews done. Long story short, this moisturizer isn’t terrible and might suit younger people with normal skin. However, at 42, my dry skin needs something more effective. I am talking about Mamaearth Beetroot Hydraful Moisturizer. Won’t lie the vibrant color combination of the packaging & term “Beetroot” motivated me to buy it 🙂
About the product:
- GIVES A HEALTHY PINK GLOW: Achieve a natural glow with our moisturizer! Enriched with Beetroot Extract, it imparts a healthy pink radiance to your skin.
- 48-HOUR HYDRATION: Packed with Hyaluronic Acid, the Beetroot Hydraful Moisturizer provides up to 48 hours of hydration, keeping your skin supple from dawn to dusk.
- OIL-FREE FORMULA: Featuring an oil-free formula, this moisturizer is perfect for all seasons, making it your ideal hydrating companion.
- MADE SAFE CERTIFIED: Free from toxins, this dermatologist-tested moisturizer is Made Safe Certified, ensuring it contains no harmful chemicals.
Ingredients:
Price: ₹ 349
Quantity: 100 ml
Shelf life: 24 months
How to use it:
- Step 1: Pump out an adequate amount.
- Step 2: Apply evenly on your face & neck.
- Step 3: Gently massage to absorb.
Packaging: I have no issues with the packaging. The cap has a twist-lock mechanism that pumps down when twisted to the unlock side, dispensing enough product for the entire face in one pump. The color combination is eye-catching and immediately grabs your attention. All the necessary information is clearly printed on the packaging.
My opinion about the product: While this product might be suitable for younger individuals or those without dry skin, it doesn’t work well for me personally. During my testing, it left my skin feeling extremely dry.
This is a lightweight product with Hyaluronic Acid and Beetroot Hydraful. Its texture is quite beautiful, light weight and creamy. Initially, it feels like it might be too oily upon application. However, it dries down without leaving a greasy residue.
On my skin, it leaves a dry, matte coating with a slightly radiant look. While this might sound appealing, it doesn’t provide the hydration my skin needs. Instead of absorbing and delivering moisture, it leaves a film that doesn’t benefit my skin. After a few minutes, my skin feels very parched, and I need to apply another moisturizer or oil immediately. Otherwise, my face feels uncomfortably dry all day.
Regarding the product’s claims: it does not soothe or protect my skin, fight signs of aging (I look older and drier when using it), rapidly quench my skin, provide long-lasting hydration, or strengthen my skin.
Overall, while this product isn’t terrible, it’s unusable for my dry skin. After this review, I’ll be using it as a body cream. It may suit those with normal skin, but it doesn’t offer enough hydration for me personally.
