Hey there! Today I’ll be reviewing, swatching, and performing a wear-test on two shades of the L’Oreal Infallible Lip Paints. Click below to read more!
Price: 600 Rs
Qt: 8 gm
Shades:
312 Nude Star: This is a soft neutral nude. The formulation is on the sheer side which is very unfortunate because it is a lovely color.
314 Spicy Blush: Despite appearing like a lovely beige-rose on my arm swatches, this shade turned out to be a lot paler and a lot pinker on the lips. With that said, the pigmentation is adequate but I did have to apply a much thicker layer to ensure a flawless coverage.
Packaging: Each lip paint comes with an unscrew able top, which turns out to be a dough foot applicator that is slightly angled. I find a brush like this makes application a bit easier and gives me more control than a flatter edge.
My opinion about the product: These apply very opaque and evenly on the lips and have a glossy finish that is non-sticky and very comfortable. It does feel like the perfect medium between a lipstick and a lip gloss.
These wore off completely and evenly after eating and drinking, which on the day of my wear-test, was around the 4-hour mark. I did expect this due to the formula, and I personally don’t mind reapplying throughout the day. My lips did not feel dry or dehydrated from the wear.
These are some great lip options at the drugstore if you prefer a comfortable, glossy finish. If you’re looking for something that is long-wearing, I wouldn’t suggest these, but I do think they are easy to reapply.
I love the formula overall, as it’s not as heavy as a lipstick but more opaque and creamy than a typical gloss. As I said before, this is like a lipgloss-lipstick hybrid that is super comfortable and hassle-free.
I’m really happy with the L’Oreal Infallible Lip Paints, so much that I may pick up a few more shades!
