Laneige’s Lip Glowy Balm| Review

In this post, I’ll be discussing Laneige’s Lip Glowy Balm and specifically focusing on the Berry flavor. This tinted lip balm is part of Laneige’s product lineup, which also includes Grapefruit, Pear, Peach, and Gummy Bear flavors. Intrigued by the positive feedback I’ve heard about Laneige’s Lip Sleeping Mask, I decided to give their Lip Glowy Balm a try and promptly placed an order. Now, let me share my personal experience with this lip balm, highlighting the Berry flavor.

How to use it:

– When the lips feel dry before/after lip makeup.
– Apply an appropriate amount on the lips to express moisturized, supple lips as if having coated the lips.

Packaging: On the boxes, there’s a filigree design etched on the sides that shimmer iridescently but not visible in the photos. The tube is  color-coordinated with the lip balm flavor or shade, adding a touch of playfulness and vibrancy to the packaging. Laneige offers a variety of lip balm shades, ranging from sheer tints to more pigmented options, and the packaging reflects these different color choices. Overall the packaging is bomb!

My opinion about the product: Berry is expected to have a delicate pink hue. I absolutely adore the distinct and delightful aroma of this lip balm, reminiscent of the timeless classic balms from years ago. The fragrances are pleasantly mild and not overwhelming, making them suitable for individuals with fragrance sensitivities. Although the brand claims that the balms are tinted, the color doesn’t appear noticeable on lips that already have some pigmentation. Even on my naturally lightly pigmented lips, the tints remain elusive. However, this balm can still be used in conjunction with lipstick or lip tint to achieve a glossy finish as you can see in the photo.

This lip balm is designed to provide hydration and a delicate shine to the lips. It effectively moisturizes my lips, but unfortunately, the balm tends to disappear after the three-hour mark. While it doesn’t offer the same healing properties as a lip sleeping mask, it does keep my lips adequately hydrated for the initial couple of hours. However, beyond that, reapplication is necessary. Overall, I’m content with the lip balm, but I don’t intend to repurchase it. The main reason for this decision is its relatively high price without any outstanding features. If you’re a fan of glossy lips, you could give it a try though!
