The Velour Liquid Lipsticks were the first products launched by the Jeffree Star (Brand) but now they have so many things to offer. My eyes were on these liquid lipsticks but I was waiting to get them on sale. Now let me a bit honest, when I ordered this from amazon, I was skeptical that it will be an original one. I ordered Redrum & No Tea No shade of this range of lipsticks. I have already reviewed Redrum (Click Here to read) shade and in this post I will be reviewing No Tea No Shade 🙂
Price: 1,126 Rs
Packaging: The packaging is bright and eye-catching, the doe-foot applicator pools just the right amount of product on it and applies well to the lips. The formula is vegan and cruelty-free which definitely appreciable.
My opinion about this product: First of all buying high end brands like Mac, Huda etc is very risky here. I mean I have read many articles mentioning that market is full of fake products. Still I took risk to invest my money on lipstick of this brand. On one hand “Redrum” is a very safe color to own (I mean you can never go wrong with Red shade) & on the other hand No Tea No Shade is difficult to describe, from my screen I thought it looked like a dark purple/maroon, now I’ve swatched it, I would say it almost has a brown shift to it also – regardless it is still gorgeous shade.
It is highly pigmented and one swipe is enough to develop the opaque coverage. It settle down to a fully matte finish which stay for good 7 to 8 hours. It is not able to survive heavy meals, need a touch up in the centre of the lips post lunch or dinner. You need not to worry with snacks or beverages (juice, coffee, water etc). Formula is completely matte but doesn’t make your lips dry. However if you still feel that it makes your lips dry then apply a lip balm 10 to 15 minutes before applying the lipstick. No doubt the lipstick is a really good option but finding it in Indian stores can be a bit difficult task.
