We put our hands and nails through a lot each day that dries skin and wrecks havoc on the condition and strength of our nails as well. In fact, the colder the weather gets, the more vulnerable our nails become unless sufficiently lubricated to keep them at their best. Therefore, let me share what I’ve been doing with my easy DIY Moisturizing Nail Oil recipe.
Before I give myself this DIY Moisturizing Nail Oil treatment, I always soak them in one of my nail soak recipes to prepare them first to receive the ingredients. The following recipes are the ones that I usually turn to DIY Nail Soak for Fragile Nails or DIY Moisturizing Nail Soak. Spending a little time with this step makes a big difference in making any nail oil such as this wonderful home fix that I have for you to better able to do its job.
What you’ll especially appreciate about my DIY Ultra Moisturizing Nail Oil is how it helps eliminate nail dryness using a blend of three incredible oils with castor, almond oil and avocado oil. Castor oil is rich in ricinoleic acid for lavishing nails in moisture and save the surface from peeling and cracking. Almond oil is the second nutrient rich oil, being a rich source of antioxidants such as vitamin A, B1, B2, B6, and E that the nail can benefit from for gaining strength and quenching their dryness. Avocado oil is also among the intensive nail oils that I selected for this kitchen fix with its ample vitamin E and other minerals that lubricate and toughen the surface of nails to revitalize suffering nails.
Besides making dry nails optimally healthier with renewed moisture, my DIY Moisturizing Nail Oil also has other amazing powers. It also has tea tree essential oil, an antibacterial and antifungal ingredient for keeping nails as absolutely healthy as possible from any possible issues that could jeopardize nail beauty.
After you mix up the recipe and do your nail soak, you have a choice of how you want to apply. You can paint a little on this nail oil on with a cotton swab or a small brush. Then again, you may also want to just apply a drop or two onto the nails and rub with your fingers. However, this is a greasy blend so you just may want to avoid the fingers and opt to paint on this nail oil instead. The important thing to remember is keeping this nail oil on them for at least five minutes before rinsing. Then patting the nails dry.
DIY Moisturizing Nail Oil
1-1/2 teaspoons of castor oil
1 teaspoon of almond oil
½ teaspoons of avocado oil
2 drops of tea tree essential oil
Mix the three oils together until well blended.
Add the tea tree essential oil last and thoroughly incorporate with the oils.
Pour into a small jar, optimally an amber-colored bottle (one-ounce size) with a dropper to better preserve the integrity of your mixture.
When you’re ready to use this nail oil after soaking, paint them and keep the nail oil on for at least five minutes before rinsing and gently drying the nails.
