Friday two strong Bollywood’s movies came across each other. One is Sanjay
Leela Bhansali’s historical event inspired movie “Bajirao Mastani’ and other
being Rohit Shetty’s bollywood masala Movie “Dilwale”. This Saturday, I visited
Inox Cinemaplex near my home to watch Bajirao Mastani.
movie depicts the love saga of Peshwa Bajirao (Ranveer Singh) and Mastani Bai (Deepika
Padukone) on silver screen. Mastani Bai was the daughter of Maharaja Chatrsal
of bundelkhand and his queen Ruhani Bai. On the other hand Peshwa Bajirao Ballal
was a great leader, warrior (one of the nine Peshwas to Chatrapati Shahu).
These two entities from different worlds met first time when Mastani Bai comes
seeking help from Peshwa Bajirao to save her kingdom from Mughals. Bajirao who
was firstly refused to help as was himself engaged in war, readies to help after
seeing the courage of Mastani Bai.
alliance but Mastani Bai loses her heart to Peshwa Bajirao. Bajirao also feels
the love towards Mastani Bai but knowing the fact that he is already married,
returns back to his Palace “Shaniwar wada”. Priyanka Chopra has played the role
of firstwife of Peshwa Bajirao named Kashi Bai and she has played her part very beautifully. In turn Mastani follows Bajirao till his Palace where they realize that they are made for each other only. The Love of the couple is not accepted by anyone in Shaniwar wada because of discrepancy in religion as Bajirao is Brahmin and Mastani Bai being a Muslim. But alas love knows no boundaries and is untouched by religion, caste, age etc. They both suffer a lot but never accept to part from each other.
After seeing this movie I was inspired by the character of Mastani Bai, there will a few in the world who can cross boundaries for their love. The End was very sad when both lost the battle from life but their love saga becomes eternal.
Every character has played his part with utmost elegance and professionalism in the movie. Deepika’s Beauty, Priyanka’s Simplicity and Ranveer’s marvelous acting will not let your attention divert while watching the movie. I felt that this character was best portrayed by Ranveer and none of the other actors would have performed the same.
The marvelous acting, huge sets, Beautiful costumes and wonderful effects certainly make this movie a must watch. I presume that after reading my review you would definitely not stop yourself from watching this movie.
Planning to see it.
Movie makers are going all out to improve Hindu Muslim relations.

Yes I saw this movie and kinda liked it.. I believe the director could have reduced the songs and improve some of the war scenes…
