ZEE5 originals Yaara Movie: A revisit to the powerful bond of friendship

Remember Vidyut Jammwal from Commando? When the film Commando was released in 2013, I am sure Vidyut became the heartthrob of all girls out there. Commando: A One Man Army was a supreme power packed performance by one of the hottest actors Vidyut Jammwal. And now guess what? He is back with yet another of his excellent performances in the movie Yaara.

Set in the backdrop of Northern part of India, basically in Nepal and Uttar Pradesh, Yaara revolves around an enduring friendship between four notorious criminals and elaborates on their rise and fall. This movie is yet another masterpiece by Tigmanshu Dhulia and the film is produced by Tigmanshu Dhulia Films and Azure Entertainment. It is a beautiful remake of the French film A Gang Story which was released in the year 2011. If you haven’t yet watched its grand digital premiere on ZEE5, do definitely watch it as it has already intrigued and kept the audience at the edge of their seats with the amazing plot with a superb cast and crew.

The cast:

The movie has a dynamic cast comprising Vidyut Jammwal as Phagun, Shruti Haasan as Sukanya, Amit Sadh as Mitwa, Vijay Varma as Rizwan and Kenny Basumatary as Bahadur. Shruti Hassan is the only woman character in the movie and is mesmerizing in the role whose character plays a pivotal part in the plot twist.

Even the music in the movie is backed by amazing singers like Saan, Ankit Tiwari and many more.

Director of this crime drama, Tigmanshu Dhulia has rightly decided the date of release of this film on 30^th July, Friendship Day on ZEE5.

The movie is about a strong bond of friendship among four notorious criminals, and is a story of friendship which we all do experience in our life. The four friends didn”t choose each other, but fate did. It is about ‘Chaukdi Gang’ and the two men Phagun and Mitwa who helped build this gang. Their friendship is put to test a number of times and how they overcome those and still stand strong is the whole essence of the movie. The gang of four, which includes Rizwan, is nabbed by the police and serves their time in jail. However, both men Phagun and Mitwa who once ruled the drug smuggling, gun-running and looting struggle in their own different ways to escape their past and start a new life after being released. All the actors are spotted in their retro look in this movie as it is set in the backdrop of the 1970s.

According to Dhulia, this film is a “homage” to friendship and is a “riveting take” on crime narrative. The Movie has all the elements from a well experienced cast to intriguing plot and I am sure will leave a lasting impression on the audience.
