I am back with the review of a face wash, the packaging is something which is driving me crazy about the product. It’s non other than WOW Skin Science Brightening Vitamin C Foaming Face Wash. I have received vitamin C range of this brand ( it includes a face wash, a toner, a cream & a serum) as a PR sample. To be honest, I have heard a lot about this brand but never invested my money to purchase products of the same. But when I received them in my mail, I was super excited 😉 because expectation was super high.
About the product: WOW Skin Science Brightening Vitamin C Foaming Face Wash is an advanced skin-brightening and anti-aging cleanser. It comes enriched with mulberry and liquorice extracts, vitamin C, and lemon and orange essential oils. The formulation with melanin blockers helps lighten pigmentation, and vitamin C a powerful antioxidant helps prevent skin damage by blocking the free radicals. Regular use will ensure your skin feels soft, supple, and looks radiant.

How to use it: Splash some water on the face and neck. Pump out a little amount of the face wash and apply all over your face and neck. Use the built-in brush in a circular motion on your face and neck to remove dirt. Move from the base of your neck to the jawline and then upwards to the cheeks, nose, and forehead. Massage for 2 minutes, and then rinse thoroughly with plain water. Follow with a moisturizer.
Packaging: I have mentioned this in the beginning that the packaging is driving me crazy for this product. This face wash gave me reason to use entire Vitamin-C. It comes in a bottle with built-in silicone face brush for gentle exfoliation. Love the way foam oozes out on pressing. In India we have only few face washes with this kinda packaging. I would like to give full marks for the packaging but there is something which will turn off your love for this bottle 🙁 I don’t know why WOW Skin Science reveals the full ingredients of the product. Key ingredients in the product and in the website are different; maybe they have changed the formulation. Rest packaging is unique, classy & travel friendly.
My opinion about the product: The usage is very simple, one has to press & the foam oozes out from the silicion brush. You have to use brush in circular motion to cover up your entire face with foam. The face wash is mild in nature and has a strong citrusy fragrance. But the good thing is that fragrance is not at all bothering. It leaves skin feeling fresh, clean, soft and hydrated. There is no dry, stretchy feeling. Since it’s a mild face wash, it is not very effective when your skin needs deep cleansing. Like when you return home after being outside in the pollution and dirt for a long time. Also, it might not help if you have oily skin which is prone to breakouts, whiteheads and blackheads.
From past one month I am using this product regularly and can say that this product is not going to give you magical results. I mean cleansing is done effectively but apart from that no visible effects. My pimples still popping, oil is still there. In winters my skin trouble less as compare to summers. So I guess this product gonna a be a fail in summers for me. Definitely not going to buying in summers at least. But I really wish to find a face wash with similar packaging for summer.
