If you are the one like me who suffers from black and white heads, then here I have come up with a solution for you. I had previously tried to get rid of blackheads by regular scrubbing and things like that. It’s not that it didn’t work at all, but honestly I hadn’t got rid of my blackheads completely by doing so. I recently came across the Wow Skin Science Activated Charcoal Peel Off Face Mask and I had heard that charcoal peel off masks are very very effective in removing blackheads and whiteheads, thus thought of giving it a try! Now I have been using this product for the last 2 months, and thus will be sharing my views and opinion about this with you all.

Packaging: The product comes in a rectangular outer packaging, a glossy black cum purple outer box. The product has typical face wash bottle kind of packaging with purple flip open cap. It travel and user friendly. The smell of the product is mild, but really amazing. The outer box as well as the product tube has all the ingredients mentioned in it. It comes with a spatula as well, which you can use to apply the mask.
My opinion about the product: I have very oily T-zone and thus have major blackheads issue. Thus I applied the product in the T-zone only. The mask dries off in like 15 minutes max. And then you have to just pull it off. It is black, sticky in consistency and has a very mild and nice fragrance.
But honestly speaking, I was totally upset with my first usage of the mask. I didn’t get and blackhead removed, but only few small hairs and whiteheads got removed. But then I started using it weekly once so as to check whether it actually works or not. It did! Though not immediately, but gradually. After one month, i.e. 4 weeks of constant usage (once weekly), my blackheads were gone! Like completely!! My initial disappointment changed into a big joy eventually!
Unlike other charcoal masks, this one is not extremely hard on your skin when you pull it off. But yes, it will pain a bit, thus it’s advised that apply the mask only in the regions of blackhead, and not to other areas. Moreover, it is Paraben and Mineral oil free, which is like the icing of the cake!
Just cleanse you face before applying this mask-let it dry for 15 minutes and then peel it off-apply some aloevera gel after you have peeled off and also have washed your face. Continue this cycle to see results.
**Please do remember that you won’t get immediate results by the usage of this product, but be consistent and use at regular intervals to see results.
What I like about the product…
- It is Paraben and Mineral oil free,
- Removes Blackheads, Whiteheads and also small facial hairs with regular usage,
- Is not very harsh on skin while pulling off,
- Has a very nice mild fragrance,
- The packaging is travel friendly and spill proof.
What I don’t like about the product…
- You have to be very consistent in usage to get results,
- Price is little on the higher side.
I would rate it 4/5. And I would recommend to all of you who has oily T-zone and blackhead and whitehead issues. Be regular and see the results!!
