With the end of 2018 a lot of websites offering huge discounts on products. I am shopping like crazy & no doubt will be bankrupt soon (he he). I am buying from almost every website 😉 & along with various stuff ordered 5 Kajal or Khols of different brands. In this post I will be talking about VLCC kajal.
Price: 36 Rs (55 Rs is MRP)
Qt: 1 gm
Shelf life: 3 Year
Online availability: Here
Direction of use: Pick up the kajal and start it from the middle of the inner eye rim and slowly proceed towards the edges. If needed coat it again with the kajal to get perfect black on your eye.
Packaging: This kajal comes in a plastic and paper cover up which is completely black in colour with VLCC kajal written in bold letters. The actual product i.e kajal comes in a black case with brand name imprinted on it. The twist up mechanism works perfectly fine. Overall packaging is very sturdy which makes it easy to carry in my handbag without any worry for it.
My opinion about the product: VLCC Kajal has a decent pigmentation of matt black but it is not a jet intense black like himalaya kajal. I have also bought Himalaya Kajal & will be reviewing it soon 😉 Single swipe of kajal gives decent color pay off. If has a very mild fragrance of Camphor, my Naani used to make kajal on Diwali which had this same fragrance. The texture is absolutely smooth which glides easily on the eye and is light on application. The staying power too is decent, stays on eyes for almost 3-4 hrs without any smudge or fade. I know it is very low in comparison to staying power for Maybelline, Lakme etc kajal. But we can’t expect that much from a kajal which is tagged at only 55 Rs.
Good thing is that I never faced any irritation or burning sensation post application. The kajal is not completely water proof & smudge proof. I found this kajal an amazing option for smokey eyes look. I have a habit of using kajal on both lash lines which is not possible with this kajal. So it is good for smokey look as well as for applying kala tikaa to your baby 🙂
What I liked about the product…
- Matt Black.
- Has a decent staying power.
- Have goodness of Camphor & liquorice.
- Easy to remove
- Doesn’t irritate my eyes.
- Super economical.
- Travel friendly.
What I don’t liked about the product…
- Difficult to find in local stores.
- Can’t be applied on upper lash line.
