The period lockdown has made everyone hooked up to different web series on several online Platforms. Every online media platform is releasing new series almost on a daily basis. One such series that I recently came across was Criminal thriller drama Vettai in Zee5. Vettai is a show that depicts a team of heroic people and real-life cases related to Indian Origin.

This team specialises in identifying and solving cases pertaining to dreadful crimes such as kidnapping, murder and sexual harassment. The series also showcases the effect of their personal life issues into their professional lives thus leading to various perilous judgments. The tagline mentions “Amidst all the trials and tribulations, would their pledge to uphold justice and peace in the society prevail?”
Vettai Cast and Crew:
Vettai is created by Anuratha Kanderaju and Abbas Akbar. It stars Shabir, Sathish, Gunalan, Vikneswaran, Gayathiri Segaran, Rishi Kumar in pivotal roles.
It has a total of 4 seasons, out of which, the third season were directed by Anuratha Kanderaju, Kumaran Sundaram and Don Arvind. And the 4th Season was directed by Kumaran Sundaram and SS Vikneshwaran. The series is one of the most watched television series in Singapore.

Vettai is one of Mediacorp’s Tamil drama series featured on Indian streaming giant ZEE5. This was recently added by ZEE5 to ensure consumers had fresh content to watch during the COVID-19 lockdown in India. The series’ first season was on-air from November 23, 2010 to March 30, 2011, in Singapore Tamil channel and now that is hosted in ZEE5, and guess what, it is hosted for free!!
