Hello Babes!
Sheet mask is a new thing in the Indian market (buzzing around from last few years), approximately every brand is launching their range of sheet mask. We have been witnessing quite a number of brands from Korea introducing us to Sheet masks trend and no wonder I was expecting The body shop too launch it. You will find many reviews of sheet masks (of course of different brand) on this blog. And my review will be on The Body Shop Vitamin E Quench Sheet Mask.
About the product: Hydrate thirsty skin in just 15 minutes with our Vitamin E Quench Sheet Mask. Enriched with Community Trade organic aloe vera, natural-origin hyaluronic acid and wheatgerm oil, this mask locks in 24hr hydration and leaves skin feeling instantly softer, smoother and re-plumped with moisture.
Price: 375 Rs
Qt: 18 ml
How to use it: Remove the sheet mask, unfold and apply to the face. Smooth over the skin and relax. After 15 minutes, remove and massage the remaining moisture into your skin. Use 1-2 times a week.
Packaging: It’s a very normal packaging like its predecessors. Nothing fancy and I don’t think they can make it in any other way since it has to be packed only in this type. Comes with an attractive forefront representing the active ingredients/ Variants and back side of the product has all the vital details like product description, Usage instructions, Ingredients etc.
My opinion about the product: The sheet mask is replete with abundance of good ingredients, which allow it to impart the desired output to your skin. It is firming, moisturizing, brightening, lightening and more. You should choose a sheet mask according to the needs of your skin. For example, if you face a problem with pores on your skin, you should go for a sheet mask which tackles pore problem, such as mung bean mask. Similarly, in order to give your skin nourishment, go for something like shea butter masks and so on.
What you need to know about sheet masking is that it can give you desirable results, only with regular use. You cannot expect to use it once in a month and get instant results. Also, results last only for a short while, with no long term impact. Keeping this in mind, sheet masking can turn out to be a very expensive skin care habit for some. Also, ideally, these masks should be used at night time only because the serum takes a lot of time to absorb in the skin after removing the mask, and tends to make the skin feel heavy. Do not use the mask beyond its shelf life, since it can give you some serious breakouts.
And to talk about its final and very important nature, its main function. If you ask me if I felt any difference after using it, unfortunately no. I have had a good experience with few variants from other brands and I have noticed a visible difference after leaving the serum overnight. But I didn’t find thing to work in a spectacular way like other sheet masks did. It was hydrating to some extent which I feel that it would not be sufficient for dry skinned beauties.
It doesn’t have any noticeable fragrance again which is not my cup of tea as I prefer sniffing good smells all the time. But it might favor the sensitive nose for sure.
What I liked about the product:
- Average size of mask, easy to fit.
- Skin friendly ingredients and mask material.
- Travel friendly.
- Instant results.
What I don’t like about the product:
- Short term results.
- Nothing exciting.
- Bit expensive.
