Hello Cuties!
Few days back, I did a post on newly launched body yogurt from brand MamaEarth ( Click Here to read complete review). Before that I was a regular user of Body Shop yogurt which is available in various variants like Moringa, British Rose, Strawberry, Mango, Almond milk, Banana, warm vanilla etc. I have used almost all of them & in this post I will be reviewing British Rose & Warm Vanilla.
Price: 925 Rs
Qt: 200 ml
How to apply it:
- Step 1: After a shower, take an adequate amount.
- Step 2 : Apply straight to damp skin and massage gently until it gets absorbed.
- Step 3: Re-apply whenever skin feels dry.
- Step 4: For best results, use daily.
Packaging: It comes in a simple plastic jar with a lid that secures tightly making it great for travel. These jars are color coded, representing the main ingredients. The container is quite bulky but then again, all body yogurts and body butters come in larger pots and similar containers. The bottom of the jar is pretty unique & makes it look pretty.
My opinion about the product: These ultra-lightweight body yogurts which are nothing but fast absorbing body moisturizers. The texture of each yogurt is like a gel-cream and has a bouncy consistency. It is damn light, non-greasy & non sticky. It feels like a lightweight face cream, except this is for your body. Each of them has the most relaxing, fruity but non overpowering scent! The scent does however wear off in about an hour and after that, it leaves behind a very faint scent that lasts until you wash it off. You have to apply it to damp skin when you first hop out of the shower to see the best results.
Now lets jump towards the main thing of the yogurt i.e hydration. Hydration power is good if you have an oily or combination skin. Definitely not that effective for dry skin people. My elbows are generally very dry and this yogurt is not able to retain moisture of that area. This was the reason that I switched to MamaEarth & using it these days. Price too also was a reason. No doubt Body Shop is a well known brand with loyal customers 🙂
Overall the fragrance is really good- not too strong but very refreshing and soothing. That’s about it! The product isn’t great for moisturising your skin especially if its on the dryer side. I feel that the body butter of this brand is a much better choice because it is far more moisturizing and last much longer than this little pot of yogurt.
