SoulPure Strawberry Lip Balm Review

Today I am going to introduce a new brand “SoulPure” which deals in handmade products 😍. This brand is run by Uttara Ramkumar (Founder & CEO) and Nishi Bhuvandas (Co-founder & COO). They have recently launched their lip balm range which has three variants i.e Hot chocolate, Strawberry and Juicy orange. I received a Strawberry lip balm for the review purpose along with a beautiful hand written note. Don’t know why but whenever a brand shows its love in a hand written note I feel like to say “ I Love You To The Moon And Back”. Hindi translation of this phrase is so funny “मैं तुमसे प्यार करती हूँ चाँद और वापस करने के लिए” 😜.

Packaging: The packaging of this lip balm is pretty simple but cute. It comes in a typical twist up tube. Mechanism is very simple; just open the twist up cap, apply and you are done. This tube is small in size so easily slips in your clutch & bag but at the same time due to its small size it may get misplaced easily.

My opinion about this product: When you open the cap of this lip balm, the smell of it is also felt by the person next to you So it’s a fragrance alert girls (He he) 😀, jokes apart it has an amazing fragrance. The lip balm is dark pink colored so I thought it will be a tinted balm. Yes, it is a tinted balm but the color is hardly visible even if your lips are not pigmented. So basically it doesn’t give any visible color to your lips and gives more of an everyday wear natural look.

This lip balm glides on my lips smoothly and they remain moisturized for four hours after which I feel the need to re-apply. This lip balm nourishes lips well and keeps them hydrated. It also helps in healing dry and chapped lips. So overall it’s a decent product if you are not expecting a tint & SPF from your lip balm. I know few of you will definitely find it a bit expensive (comparison to quantity provided) but at the same time we all know that hand made products are always bit pricey.

What I like about this product….

1. Nice fragrance.
2. Keeps your lips hydrated.
3. Hygienic packaging.
4. Free from glycols, chemical preservatives, synthetic fragrances, petrolatum and its by-products.
5. It gives more of an everyday wear natural look.
6. Glides smoothly on lips.

What I do not like about this product….

1. Provides to tint to lips.
2. No effect on pore size.
3. Difficult to find in local stores or markets.
4. Bit pricey.
