My first highlighter or illuminator was from brand Manna Kadar which I received in a subscription box. Since then I am addicted to them. Recently I bought liquid highlighter from brand Revolution. The range of this highlighter is available in following shades: Rose Gold, Luster Gold, Bronze Gold, Luminous Gold, Champagne, Unicorn Elixir and Starlight. The one I have is bronze gold.
Price: 1050 Rs
Qt: 18 ml
Direction of use: Apply using a brush or sponge on the high points of the face. Can be mixed in with foundation, body lotion or a moisturizer for a luminous natural finish.
Packaging:
Oh! la! la The packaging is super gorgeous. The bottles are actually glass and come with a pipette applicator. This allows you to control how much you use. Each bottle has a colour coordinated label to correspond to the shade inside. The packaging is hygienic to use as it has pipette or dropper. But you have to careful while handling as it is a glass bottle.
My opinion about the product: The highlighter is concentrated & you can use it in many different ways. You can use it as illuminating base just by adding 1 drop of this highlighter to any regular face cream and mix away to create an illuminating glow to the skin. You can use it as a dewy foundation by adding 1 or 2 drops of this highlighter in a non-glowy foundation. Also as a cheek highlighter by using 1 drop of the concentrated formula with a damp sponge and then apply directly to the cheeks, cupids bow, brow bone and nose. So this highlighter can be used for multi-purpose.
This liquid highlighter has a smooth, thin surface that get mixed effortlessly on the skin; it has thin surface but not runny in nature. The formula coasts easily on the skin and feels very lightweight too. Post application, it won’t makes skin dry or scratchy, your skin feels comfortable with this on. If you are mixing the highlighter in your foundation or face cream and you’re putting them underneath products i.e powder/bronzer/blush it will stay for 7 to 8 hours. So I am pretty justified with staying power. Overall is it a decent highlighter which is light weight & multi-purpose use.
What I liked about the product:
- Adorable packaging.
- Lovely warm shade.
- Will suit all Indian skin tones.
- Blends easily.
- Non-inconsistent, non-sticky and non-sleek recipe.
What I don’t like about the product:
- Glass container is risky to handle.
- Sparkle particles may bother you.
