This post is a comparison post, here I will be talking about two products with similar feature. I have tried both of them, I got them as a PR samples. Yes! I am talking about WOW Skin Science Vitamin C Foaming Face Wash & MamaEarth Apple Cider Vinegar Foaming Face Wash. Both products are priced at the same price and the quantity offered too is same. Direction of use: Splash some water on the face and neck. Pump out a little amount of the face wash apply all over your face and neck. Use the built-in brush in a circular motion on your face and neck to remove dirt. Move from the base of your neck to the jawline and then upwards to the cheeks, nose, and forehead. Massage for 2 minutes, and then rinse thoroughly with plain water. Use the face wash at night to keep your skin clear of dirt and pollution. Follow with a moisturizer.
Packaging: The packaging of both the product is almost similar. The product comes in a bottle with built-in silicone face brush for gentle exfoliation. Love the way foam oozes out on pressing. In India we have only few face washes with this kinda packaging. The WOW bottle or packaging is of brown color whereas the MamaEarth one in white in color. Now color choice differs individual to individual and I personally liked the WOW color combination of brown & golden. The WOW bottle is more into width & the MamaEarth looks taller. Rest the mechanism is same & the packaging too. Wait a sec! I forgot to mention, the key ingredients in the product (WOW foaming face wash) and in the website are different; maybe they have changed the formulation. This will definitely disappoint those who are more concerned about the ingredient list.
My opinion about the product: The usage is very simple, one has to press & the foam oozes out from the silicon brush. You have to use brush in circular motion to cover up your entire face with foam. The face wash is mild in nature and the good thing is that fragrance (both of them) is not at all bothering. It leaves skin feeling fresh, clean, soft and hydrated. There is no dry, stretchy feeling. The silicon job does the job but I personally found MamaEarth Silicon brush a bit rough or my skin. If you have pimples then you can feel this more strongly. WOW silicon brush is more soft & efficient, definitely it deserve one extra point for this.
WOW foaming face wash is more mild compared to MamaEarth one. As WOW is a mild face wash, it is not very effective when your skin needs deep cleansing. Like when you return home after being outside in the pollution and dirt for a long time. Also, it might not help if you have oily skin which is prone to breakouts, whiteheads and blackheads. Whereas MamaEarth foaming face wash removes your makeup more efficiently. Price & the quantity offered are same so there is not extra marks for any of them.
I have used WOW face wash for almost a month and can say that this product is not going to give you magical results. I mean cleansing is done effectively but apart from that no visible effects. My pimples still popping, oil is still there. But now I am using Mamaearth facewash from last two weeks & can notice the effect of this face wash. It controls face oil & prevents new pimples from popping out.
Last thing I would like to point out here is the availability, you can find MamaEarth products offline (first cry or local store) but never saw any product of WOW Science offline. So WOW products can be purchased only online.. Rest you can decide which product you would like to buy. Remember you can get these face washes at low price in sale so keep you eyes and grab the best deal 🙂
