Pond’s is the very first brand who recognized my work as a beauty blogger. Yes! It was my third post & I got featured on the official page of Pond’s. We bloggers really work hard and our reward is that appreciation which we receive from brands as well as our audience/readers. In this post I will be reviewing Pond’s Light Moisturizer which I purchased from a local shop in my area.
Packaging: This cream comes in a disc shape plastic tub. This tub has aqua green colored bottom & a white colored screw cap. The tub is sleek and extremely travel-friendly. The ingredients list is printed on back of the tub. When you unscrew the cap, you will see a silver foil which no doubt is to prevent spillage or leakage but it creates mess on the inner side of foil and a little product wastage. Packaging is pretty good but it will be better to provide a plastic vacuum lid.
My opinion about the product: This moisturizer is white in color & has a very cream consistency (feels like fresh cream). It’s extremely light weight & it is water-based so gets absorbed easily once massaged over face and neck. It neither leaves any white cast not greasy effect post application. The fragrance is amazing and fades away after some time. It has a decent moisturizing capacity, keeps skin hydrated for 4-5 hours & after that you need to re apply. But as winters are going on & my oily skin turning to dry one. I have noticed that within few minutes post application my skin around mouth turns dry. This cream is not able to keep my skin (around mouth area) hydrated.
So if you have dry skin then I guess this not gonna work for you. However I liked this cream but seems like I have to use it as hand cream in winters or in summers. I simply love the texture of this cream but seems like it’s not for my dry skin (winters). It has no SPF so you need to apply sunscreen separately if stepping out. No doubt it can give soft skin but will not help in glowing skin 😉
