My Acne Diary: Garnier Pure Active Real Neem Face Wash Review

Pimples are the major problem of people with oily skin. This problem forces us to try out every single product available in the market. Remember those teenager days. Oh gosh! Life was hell because of these pimples & their marks. My problem is not that much severe these days but I am still suffering from these little monsters. Here is my review about Garnier Pure Active Real Neem Face Wash which purifies and washes away germ.

Product claims: A soap free, gentle face wash with real Neem extract and Tea Tree oil, this face wash by Garnier is great for everyday use. Neem has anti-bacterial properties and helps fight germs that cause pimples and acnes. It deeply cleanses and purifies the skin. Tea Tree oil too fights acnes and has many benefits for the skin. Pure Active face wash combines the best of both and gives you clean, pimple free and refreshing skin that will glow.

It has a nice fragrance and a runny consistency and feels very light on the face.

Ingredients: Water, coco-betane, peg-8, sodium laureth sulfate, peg-120 methyl glucose dioleate, sodium chloride, disodium cocoamphodiacetate, tea tree leaf oil, zinc gluconate, sodium glycolate, melia azadirachta leaf extract, tetrasodium edta, menthol, sodium benzoate, salicylic acid, cl 19140. Cl 42090, linalool, benzyl salicylate, fragrance (b48601/0).

Shelf life: 36 months or 3 years

Directions for use: Gently massage on damp face using your fingertips carefully avoiding the eyes contour area. Rinse thoroughly. For best results, use twice a day.

Packaging: This face wash comes in a white color squeeze tube. It has a same color screw cap. It is easy to dispense product but because of opaque packaging it is difficult to find quantity of product left. This product is available in different variants, so smaller one i.e 15 gm can be easily carried in purse or carry bag.

My opinion about this product: The face wash is lemony green in color. It has gel like consistency and lathers pretty well. It has a strong herbal fragrance which is not at all overpowering or irritating. It lathers pretty well but does not create any sort of foam. So a lot of water is required to clean the face completely otherwise it may feel little slippery.

After application it cleans my skin off dirt, grime and dullness, it instantly lends freshness to my face and makes it appear clean. But it also makes my skin bit dry & stretchy so need to apply moisturizer for providing moisture to my skin. After regular application of one week, I noticed slight reduction in pimples on my face. Yes! It is not at all effective in fading pimples marks.

Overall this face wash deserve a thumbs up as it contains the goodness of Tea Tree leaves oil and Neem leaves extract, these have anti-bacterial as well as anti-blemish properties, so it’s regular use will reduce the existing acne and appearance of new ones .

What I like about this product….

2. No strong fragrance.
3. Travel friendly packaging.
4. Easily available in local as well as online markets.
5. Helps in controlling oil.
6. Budget friendly (Even will not affect pocket of teenagers.)
7. Contains the goodness of Tea Tree leaves oil and Neem leaves extract.

What I do not like about this product….

1. Doesn’t help in reducing the pimple marks.
2. Makes my skin dry & stretchy.
