Bonjour beautiful people,
Its been a while since the last time I was here, exams you know? That been said, how are y’all doing. I hope well. So coming to today’s product, we’ll be talking about the Maybelline FIT me Matte+Poreless Compact Powder.
I have an extremely oily T-zone and cheeks, so using just a foundation and aiming for a dewy look is something straight out of my worst nightmares. Even if I don’t use a foundation, I make sure to apply a compact even over my moisturizer, so evidently I have had my share of hunting to find the best compact for myself. While FIT me liquid Matte+Poreless has been one of my most favorite foundation ever made, I was very very keen for the Compact to release in India. I remember ordering it on the release day itself.

Direction of use: Use it on its own on clean or layer it on top of foundation, with the applicator provided, or a powder brush.
Packaging: It comes in a sturdy plastic packaging, with a transparent top patch of plastic and a black border. It has two compartments, first one containing the product, and the second one revealing a mirror, and also the sponge applicator provided along with. It comes sealed with a cello tape with the shade no and name written on it. The back of the packaging also has the shade no and name written on it, and the features and the ingredients.
My opinions about the product: Being an oily skinned lass, compact powder is always a holy grail in my makeup. The fit me foundation being one of my favorites, it goes without saying, I had high expectations from this product, and it didn’t disappoint. The claims of being matte and poreless turned out to be very true. My t-zone was definitely oil free and it set my base makeup well for me. I generally use it with a powder brush, but while touch ups I apply it with the applicator provided along with. It stayed for a good 4 hours on my face, after which I needed slight touch ups on my t-zone and upper lip area, where I seem to sweat the most.
It also has a good shade range, covering a wide range of skin tones. My shade is 230 Natural Buff, which is the same as the foundation, which is really good, because it’ll be easier to select the shade accordingly.
What I don’t like about it is that when my face is a bit on the drier side, the powder seems to settle on the dry patches, and makes it look very dry. So make sure to scrub and moisturize before application. Extremely dry skinned people could avoid using this product.
What I like about the product:
- Mattifying
- Sets makeup
- Cheap
- Hides pores
- Long lasting
What I don’t like about the product:
- Too drying
- Settles into fine lines
ZZM RATING: 4.5/5
In conclusion, it is really good, and does live up to its expectation created by the foundation. I would definitely recommend you to purchase it.
I pray you had a good time. Until next time, bonjour.
