Today’s post is about Maybelline Colossal Super Black Kajal. I bought this Kajal about 2 months back and its outer packaging was instantly destroyed by my little munchkin 👶. Ah! He is teething these days and keeps destroying my each and every product. You know a lot people advice me to keep things away from his reach. But I love to watch him for searching for specific products in my collection and chewing them. No! I am not crazy believe me इसका भी अपना ही मज़ा है 😜. My husband says that I will make him a spoiled brat.
Ingredient: No ingredient list is provided by brand.
Price: Rs 300
Wt: 0.35 gm
Shelf life: 3 years or 36 months
Online availability: www.nykaa.com
Direction for use: Starting at the inner corner of the eye, draw a neat black stroke along your lower waterline. Starting once again at the inner corner, add a bold stroke along with the upper lash line.
Packaging: Maybelline Colossal Kajal comes packed in a black and yellow colored cardboard packaging with a black colored retractable pencil which contains the kajal. The color combination looks awesome and stands out in cosmetic shelf. The twist mechanism works perfectly and it is absolutely travel friendly. The retractable pencil is pretty long but unfortunately the thin stick of kajal is only 2 inches long.
My opinion about this product: The kajal has a creamy texture; it is not very creamy but glides well on both lash line and water line without any tugging or pulling. The pencil starts with a fine point but after one or two use it is a thick blunt so definitely not an option if you want a fine line. However a great option if you want to smudge the line out rather than have anything precise. The matte finish is what I love a lot.
It is an opaque, strong black kajal and one or two strokes gives a jet black shade when used on the lash line. I don’t understand why brand launched this Kajal as it is just blacker than the older one. However, on the waterline, the color is not as intense as it claims to be. This kajal claims to be smudge proof & waterproof, I won’t say it is fully smudge proof and water proof but does a complete justice up to a certain extent.
It says that it is a 12 hours kajal but it stays on my waterline for 6 to 7 hours and then starts fading and on the eyelids its stays for 8 to 9 hours at least. You will need a makeup remover or wet wipes to remove every trace of the kajal or khol as it won’t go off with a simple face wash. No doubt it is a nice product but a bit pricey too.
What I like about this product….
1. Has a nice texture & glides smoothly.
2. Stays for longer duration.
3. Water proof & smudge proof up to a certain extent.
4. Doesn’t irritate my sensitive eyes.
5. Travel friendly packaging.
6. Easily available in local as well as online market.
7. Super pigmented.
What I do not like about this product…..
1. Breaks off a little under pressure.
2. Ingredient list is missing.
3. Doesn’t stay for 12 hours as claimed.
4. Bit expensive for the quantity offered.
