Red lipsticks are a must have in every girl’s kitty. But there are different versions of red also. Some are deep reds, crimson reds, corals reds and all that. We all have different reds for different occasions too. And I am sure many of you will agree with me that we also have a red for office wear too. That’s not a deep bright red, it’s more of a coral red. And that’s what this lipstick is for me. This is my office wear red lipstick. This is from the house of Maybelline, which I feel has some of the best budget lipstick collections. So, here is Maybelline Colorsensational Lipstick in Glamorous Red for all of us. Read along the review to know if the product is worth purchase or not.

Direction of use: Use a clean baby tooth brush and scrub your lips. You can do that with sugar granules or with olive oil too. Now, just wash your lips with normal water. You can begin with a lip balm underneath your lips. Apply a thin layer of lipstick and then apply it on the lips.
Packaging: Maybelline Colorsensational Lipstick in Glamorous Red comes in regular Maybelline packaging. For me the packaging looks quite boring. It has a red transparent bullet kind of packaging. The shade name is mentioned at the bottom. You need to twist the product a bit so that the bullet comes out.
My opinion about the product: Maybelline Colorsensational Lipstick in Glamorous Red is not truly red in colour. It has got more of a coral finish to it. The shade is a mix of red with strong undertones of coral in it. The shade is definitely a complexion perking colour. It will immediately light up your complexion and mood. But the colour has got deep coral touches to it. So, everyone cannot wear this colour. It will go well with Indian skin tones. The colour will looks superb with fairer skin tones. But with tanned skin, the coral colour will clash against the tanned skin colour and it will wash you out further. So, double check the colour at the store under natural lighting then only go ahead and buy it.
Also, the finish of the lipstick is creamy matte. It is not 100% matte. But that’s not a worry, you can always dab the lipstick a bit and make it matte. Also, if you feel the colour is too dark for you just dab the lipstick a bit and you will be good to go.
As far as the staying power goes, the lipstick is fine. It survives lighter meals and drinks but with heavier meals and drinks it completely fades away. So, there comes a need of re-application.
