mamaearth Soothing Waterproof Eyeliner (Matte Black-01)| Review

You won’t often find me writing eyeliner reviews on my blog. This is because my usual routine involves applying kajal on both my upper and lower lash lines. However, for the past 3-4 years, I’ve been consistently using Mamaearth’s Kajal. Recently, I decided to try something new and opted for the Soothing Waterproof Eyeliner (Matte Black-01) from Mamaearth. I came across this product when I purchased a bundle of 6 or 7 items from Symtten, all for just Rs 209. In this post, I’ll be sharing my thoughts on Mamaearth’s Soothing Waterproof Eyeliner.

How to use it:

• Apply along the lash line from the inner to the outer corner.
• Keep it as close to the lashline.
• Extend the line to create a wing.

Packaging: Packaged in a sleek white tube, the liquid liner features a slim brush applicator. Preferences vary when it comes to liner applicators, and personally, I favor the thin brush style over a sponge tip. The tube is encased in cardboard packaging that displays various product details. Unfortunately ingredient list is not provided on the packaging, the list I have mentioned is taken from the website. Conveniently, this compact tube easily fits into your purse or bag 🙂 

My opinion about the product: The Matte Black-01 eyeliner boasts a jet black shade with a fluid consistency that is neither too runny nor watery. Its formula is impressive, as it applies smoothly without causing any discomfort or stinging sensation, even when applied closely to the lash line. This is particularly noteworthy for individuals with sensitive eyes, as they typically experience discomfort when applying products in such proximity to the lash line.

Handling this eyeliner is fuss free. The sleek brush of this liquid eyeliner offers precise control, making it effortless to create thin lines. The liner’s liquid is highly pigmented, providing even and opaque coverage in a single stroke. However, to achieve a complete look, I find it necessary to dip the brush in the bottle approximately 3-4 times. The liner doesn’t dry instantly; it takes its time to set completely. Due to its relatively prolonged drying time, I recommend avoiding the application of excessive liquid at once to prevent smudging and clumsiness.

Once it settles, the eyeliner provides a matte finish. It exhibits excellent staying power and proves to be both smudge-proof and waterproof. Removing it completely requires a makeup remover. Importantly, it doesn’t crack, chip, or peel off. In summary, I am thoroughly pleased with the overall performance of this eyeliner.
