Mamaearth Retinol Face Mask| Review

In 2017 I reviewed Mama Earth C3 –Charcoal, Coffee and Clay Face Mask and it is among the most read post of my blog. Few months back I purchased Retional face mask of this brand. I have used it couple of times and now will be reviewing it for you guys. The packaging is same and there is nothing to rave about it. However the brand  has started working on their products’ packaging and coming up with the pretty one but this face mask still has that simple packaging 🙂

Key Ingredients

Retinol: A form of Vitamin A, Retinol is highly effective in reversing signs of aging and sun damage. It boosts collagen production, plumps up the skin, and reduces the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles.

Bakuchi: The natural goodness of Bakuchi with its anti-inflammatory properties minimizes discoloration and hyper-pigmentation.

Mulberry: Deeply hydrating and nourishing, Mulberry improves the appearance of uneven skin tone and reduces signs of premature aging.

Direction of use:

• Step 1 : Wash your face with Mamaearth Sulfate-free Retinol Face Wash.
• Step 2 : Pat your face dry and apply a generous layer of face mask on your clean face & neck.
• Step 3 : Keep it for 15 minutes, gently rub & wash off with lukewarm water.
• Step 4 : For best results, use twice a week.

Packaging: The face pack comes in a tub packaging which is white and opaque in nature. The screw lid ensures no leakage of content even during travelling. The packaging is sturdy and need space to slip in your purse or bag. All the information is printed at the back of the tub.

My opinion about the product: The face pack is greyish in color with a nice creamy texture which glides smoothly while spreading on the face.  It smells quite pleasant which is not at all overpowering. This fragrance reminds me  fragrance of Pond’s cold cream. I usually apply this pack with the help of brush but you can also apply it with your fingers but do remember to apply a moderately thick layer. Due to it’s creamy texture, all you need to do is wet your face and apply the pack directly on your skin. Once the mask is applied on your face you will feel the coolness and soothing effect which does make you feel relaxed. Wait for 25- 30 minutes (it takes time to dry completely) than rinse it off with normal water following instructions mentioned above.

This face pack doesn’t make your skin dry post application. This product claims to work on your fine lines and wrinkles. I don’t have these things so can’t comment that how effective it is on wrinkles and fine lines. The only thing I notice is a clear and smooth skin post application. Oh! I forgot to mention 😉 that there are not particles in this face pack (the charcoal one has small particles) so don’t expect any exfoliation job from this face pack. This pack is effective in making your skin even tone 🙂
