It’s more than 5 years that I am reviewing products of different brands. Earlier I used to review beauty products but after becoming a mom, I also stated reviewing baby products too on my blog. In this post, I am reviewing Mamaearth Plant based Diaper Pants. You will find review of almost each & every brand’s diapers (Pamper, Mamy Poko Pants, Libero, Patanjali etc) on my blog. Out of these diaper, the most disappointed one is Patanjali Diaper (sorry if I sound rude). I wonder क्या सोच के बनाया ये डायपर पतंजलि वालो ने! Now there is one more diaper (disappointed one) in my list & this time it is Mamaearth Plant Based Diaper. To know the reason please do scroll down.
About the product: Mamaearth Plant-Based Diaper Pants for Babies. How to wear: Wear it like pants and run your finger along the waistline to adjust the soft stretchable waist band.
How to remove: Tear away sides for easy removal of solid pants. Empty content in flush and dispose the diaper in the dustbin.
Packaging: These diapers come in a light blue colored packet, which you need to tear off to take out the diaper(s). All the required information is provided on the packet. Almost every brand has sample kinda outer packaging. As usual, I have a request to all brands that they should provide diapers in zip kind of packaging so that it becomes very easy to store & manage them. However now I have a diapers organizer to keep them in a organized way 
My opinion about the product: Mamy Poko Pants and Pampers are the diapers which are mostly used in India. No doubt there are many other brands but these two are the major players in Indian. Both costs you are 12 Rs per diaper but the MamaEarth costs you around 33 Rs. per diaper. So, you can imagine the expectation one should have from this brand diaper. Even Pampers Premium Care Pants which is premium diapers costs you Rs 28. So I thought the MamaEarth diapers will definitely have some WOW factor. But it came as a disappointment. The design of the diapers are damn boring. Each diaper is white in color with some hearts, smiley printed on it. However one can ignore the outer print as quality of diaper and absorption power matters more than that.
The quality is so so, it is neither good nor bad. Pampers diapers have soft material compared to Mamy Poko Pants. On the other hand MamaEarth diapers quality is something similar (a bit lowers side) to the MamyPoko pants. Each diaper has a stretchy and soft rubber waist. They fit the most snugly around a small baby’s waist and thighs. Lets talk about the absorption capacity which again comes as a disappointment. For my boy after few hours (like 3 or 4 hours) it starts leaking like hell. If your baby poops then to it can gonna be a poopy affair. Few times it was all on his clothes and finally I stopped using this brand’s diapers.
A lot negative points about the diapers so lets talk about the positive points. It is made with cornstarch. It is plant based. It has aloe vera powder, which protects the skin from rashes. My boy never faced problem of rashes on wearing these diapers. The diapers are biodegradable which definitely appreciable 🙂
Overall I will not recommend this diaper as it is expensive with average quality material, boring designs and poor absorption. If you can spend around 27-28 Rs then you should go with Mamy Poko Kids Night Pants/Diapers. These diapers have have pretty design, amazing quality and a excellent absorption capacity. On the other hand you not willing to pay this much amount then you can go with Pampers or Mamy Poko Pants.
