Hope you all are doing well? I have a 1 year old girl, earlier I was using disposable diapers for her only in the night time. But now with the change in weather (winters are here in North India) she is in diaper for whole day. When you keep your baby in diaper for whole day, undoubtedly diaper rash (es) becomes major concern. I ordered Mamaearth diaper rash cream. Hearing a lot about this brand these days, I am sure you are also curious to know about it. In this post I will be reviewing Mamaearth Diaper Rash Cream 🙂
Direction of use: Apply liberally to affected skin. Use as often as necessary. Enjoy the multi-functional benefits! Always test any skin product on your baby’s skin by doing a patch test on the forearm for any allergies before using it.
Packaging: This cream comes a simple white colored plastic jar. Jar is small in size but contains all the required details. It has a screw cap & inside there is one more plastic cover to prevent spillage. This chotu jar can be easily carried in a bag while travelling but I wish this diaper cream should be provided in squeeze tube rather than a jar. I find jar packaging a bit unhygienic to use 🙁
My opinion about the product: This cream reminds me of Himalaya diaper rash cream which my sister used for her baby. It is white in color and has a very creamy & thick consistency. As it is thick in consistency you need to massage it properly to get it absorbed in to skin. It (Zinc oxide) leaves a white layer which seals out wetness 🙂 It has a mild fragrance which is not at all bothering. After one or two application my baby’s rashes were completely gone. I regularly use it even if my baby doesn’t have rash(es) as a preventive measure to avoid rashes.
Remember that before applying a diaper rash cream use gentle wipes that don’t have perfume or alcohol to clean your baby’s bums. After you have done the wiping, it is time for one of my favorite tricks. Take a plain tissue paper and tap it around your babies recently cleaned area. Most of the time the skin is still a bit damp. The tissue will actually stick to the skin & now do tap tap to make his/her skin completely dry. Now apply thin layer of dipaer rash cream & finally make him/her wear a diaper. Mommies it’s a request to give some diaper free time (at least 1 hour in a day) to your baby. All these points which will help in keeping your baby diaper rash free but if your baby ever faces severe diaper rash do rush to doctor.
Till date I baby hasn’t faced any diaper rash so can say that this cream is working for her. I am loving this “Toxin Free formula” for my baby.
What I like about this product….
1. “Certified toxin free” formula.
2. Quite effective in work.
3. A small quantity is required so a single tub goes long.
4. Loaded with the goodness of Zinc oxide, Shea butter, Cocoa butter, Olive oil etc.
What I do not like about this product…..
1. Cream takes time to get absorbed in baby’s skin which can be irritating.
2. Unavailability in local stores.
