mamaearth Charcoal Face Pack with Activated Charcoal and Glycolic Acid| Review

mamaearth launched C3 Charcoal mask in 2017 and I was going crazy for it. If you haven’t read my review about it then do click Here. It is a combination of Charcoal, Coffee and Clay and is a simply awesome face mask. Recently I came across mamaearth new launch ‘Charcoal face pack’ which is a deadly combination of Activated charcoal, Glycolic Acid and Aloe Vera Gel. Activated Charcoal detoxifies and deeply cleanses the skin, Glycolic Acid gently exfoliates and brightens the skin and Aloe Vera hydrates and soothes the skin. Basically this face pack is filled with the goodness of ingredients to detoxify your skin. How to use it:

• Step 1 : Cleanse your face with Mamaearth Charcoal Face Wash.
• Step 2 : Apply a generous layer of face pack on your face & neck.
• Step 3 : Keep it for 15 minutes.
• Step 4 : Rub & wash off with lukewarm water.
• Step 5 : For best results, use the face pack twice a week.

Packaging: The face pack comes in a tub packaging which is white & black colored and opaque in nature. A white lid is also there to protect the actual product. You may find product on the inner layer of the lid but the cap is fully safe. It is a 100 gm tub with all the required printed over it. I wish a spatula is provided along with it. Rest everything is at place 🙂

My opinion about the pack: Like C3 mask this face pack is black (something between black & grey) in color. It has a nice creamy texture which glides smoothly while spreading on the face. The Blackish colour is due to the clay content in it. It smells quite pleasant  and is not at all overpowering. C3 mask also has some particles for exfoliation but this is completely smooth. 

I usually apply this pack with the help of brush but you can also apply it with your fingers but do remember to apply a moderately thick layer. If you will apply a thin layer than it will be difficult to take it off. Due to it’s creamy texture, all you need to do is wet your face and apply the pack directly on your skin. Once the mask is applied on your face you will feel the coolness and soothing effect which does make you feel relaxed. This cooling effect can be felt post application for good 10-15 minutes then vanish off completely 🙂

It takes around 15-20 minutes to dry it off, then you need to rub and wash it off with the water. If you are using luke warm then it is easy to wash it off. But being a lazy soul I prefer normal water and it takes effort to wash it off completely. But once it is done you will happy to see your face. This pack takes off all dirt, oil & grim completely. My skin felt very refreshing, smooth and showed some brightness. Love the way my skin feels & looks 🙂

As it is a product from men’s section I was expecting it to be a bit strong. But this is not at all strong for my skin. I didn’t faced any irritation or redness on my skin. I love the way my skin post application. So finally I have found a product equally good for we husband & wife 🙂
