Lakme made quite a statement with its unique aloe vera range, which promises to brighten and lift up your skin which faces the brunt of the city pollution on a daily basis. What remains to be seen is, how exactly do the products in this range fair to the claims made by the brand. Let us talk about the night cream launched in this range.
Price: INR 300
Quantity: 50 gm
Shelf life: 3 years
Direction of use: As per the suggestion made by the brand, you should spread the aloe vera gel in the same range, to soothe your skin. After this, one should follow up with this cream by massaging it on the face and the neck for the perfect nourished skin.
Packaging: The Lakme Naturale night cream comes packed in a plastic jar format in green. The cap on top can be opened by screwing the lid. No applicator has been provided with the jar for extraction, so you will have to rely on a finger for that.
My opinion about the product: If compared with the day cream version of the brand, this one is slightly thicker. However, it is easy to spread on the face and gets absorbed without a fuss. The cream has a mild scent which feels very refreshing but does not linger for a long time.
This cream should be used at the last stage of your night time skin care routine. All in all, the cream does not feel greasy or heavy on the face, which is a good thing otherwise it might have been a redundant product. The best part about the cream is that it adds a nice and genuine amount of moisture to your skin, which is why, it will not feel itchy or dry. Results can be seen visibly the next morning, since you will be able to wake up with a healthy and radiant looking skin.
As for someone like me, who has acne prone and oily skin, I did not face any surge of oil or grease on my face after using the product or any breakouts but yes, the cream did not help me with any existing breakouts either.
What I liked about the product…
- Has a nice packing and travel-friendly.
- Scent is mild.
- Does not feel sticky on the face.
- Will suit every skin type.
- Gives ample hydration to the skin.
- Not a very heavy-duty night cream but works well.
- Economic pricing.
- Does not break out skin.
What I don’t like about the product…
- Does not have any action on existing skin problems
