Hello Girls!
Today I am going to be reviewing this beautiful palette which comes from LA Colors, a popular drug stores makeup brand. By the look of it, I really love the colors on this palette. Let us find out if they are as good performing or not.
Price: INR 325
Quantity: 4 gm
Shelf life: 3 years
Online availability: I would also suggest that you check out Hokmakeup before making the purchase, because you might get it at a good discount there.
Direction of use: Use it as you would use any normal eyeshadow palette.
Packaging: The palette comes in a rectangular container in white color. There are 6 eye shadows in this palette, all of which are coordinated. The cover lid on top is transparent because of which, you can clearly see the shades within. The name of the brand and all other relevant information about the product is available to read on the lid and the back side of the palette.
The cover lid fits nicely into a lock on the front and does not pose any problem while opening or closing the lid. I find this palette really comfortable for travel purpose as well. The palette is replete with an applicator brush but only for newbies. Experts who know how to work with these shades, would find little use of the applicator brush. All in all, a very pretty packaging according to me.
My opinion about the product: The shade of the palette that I am going to review is ‘Earthly’. This is a beautiful palette with a mix of nudes, peaches, browns and purple shades in it. The color collection in this palette is quite attractive and you are sure to fall for it. The best part about this very economic palette is that it can be used to create daytime as well as night time looks. Even though there are only 6 shades in this palette, you can play around with them for quirky looks.
Take a closer look at the palette which has two rows. The top one has matte shades. The first shade is perfect as a base. However, the pigment of the palette is low and you will need to swipe the shade multiple times for an effective result. Also, you might be little disappointed with fallout issues. The next shade is a rosy peach shade which is the lightest in the palette and requires multiple swipes for an effective result. This is perfect for the lid area. The next shade is again peach-ish. It is perfect for day time looks. The pigment is good and overall texture of these shades is nice.
The bottom row has three shimmer shades. The first is a light brown shade which is richly pigmented with smooth texture and fallout is quite less. The shimmer in the shade is very subtle. Next is a dark brown shade which can be used in the lid area and also as a transition shade. There is no fallout issue. The last shade of the palette is lilac in color and is best used on the outer corners of the eyes. It has very fine shimmers in it. It is nicely pigmented and no fallout issue.
The shades blend really nicely with their creamy texture. The shades do not appear patchy and appear quite stunning on the eyes. The shimmer shades are even somewhat water proof. These shades stay in their place without creasing and for the price, this palette is quite economic. The shades can be removed easily with a makeup remover.
