In this post I will be reviewing Kiehl’s Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque. It is one such functioning deep-cleansing wash-off type mask that does all without stripping the skin off moisture.
About the product: Our Amazonian White Clay mask helps draw out impurities while smoothing and refining skin. This pore minimizing mask for oily skin and normal skin helps unclog pores and smooth skin texture.
Price: 2,800 Rs
Qt: 125 ml
How to apply it:
- After cleansing, apply a thin layer to damp skin, avoiding the immediate eye area
- Allow to dry for approximately ten minutes
- When dry, gently remove clay mask using a warm, wet towel and pat dry.
Packaging: Keeping price of this product in mind packaging is not that impressive. Dude! We are paying appx. 3,000 for this and the packaging is just okay. It comes in a plastic jar which has a white bottom & grey screw cap. Not so happy with the packaging, it is simple & sturdy.
My opinion about the product: According to the brand this masque uses White Clay from the Amazon River in Brazil to eliminate debris and dead surface cells that can clog pores and leave the skin looking dull. It is also rich in minerals and will get rid of surface toxins from the skin. It is a creamy mask that dries up in about 10-15 minutes, depending on how much you slather on. Me – I like to slather on a slightly-thicker-than-normal layer cos I’m convinced that it will suck out more dirt.
When freshly applied, there’s a very slight tingling sensation. When it dries, there’s a slight tightening feeling on your skin to indicate that it’s ready to be washed off. You’ll smell a very strong clay (fermented microorganism) scent when you open the jar. Like pure clay sort of scent. The masque looks like some grey-ish paste that resembles white clay you can find in swamp or riversides.
Kiehl’s Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque is by far the most effective deep-cleansing clay mask I’ve ever used. It cleanses thoroughly without drying out your skin. The masque remains in its good creamy condition and will not dry out within a few months unlike the Innisfree Volcanic Pore Clay Mask. I love it! There is nothing to complain about. It is an effective, non-drying deep-cleansing clay mask with quality ingredients used.
