So summer is near, like just knocking at the door and the major problem with this summer is tanning. How much ever we put layer of sunscreen and stuff, tanning is bound to happen if you are directly exposed to sun. Thus, there comes the need of anti-tan face packs. Thereby I’m gonna talk about the Jovees Wheatgerm & Carrot Anti Tan pack.
Ingredients:
Quantity: 100 gm
Price: Rs. 215 (discounted price is Rs. 174)
Shelf life: 36 months
Packaging: This face pack comes in a plastic white tube, with a yellowish orange flip open cap. Packaging is simple, like any regular face wash kinda packaging. It is travel friendly.
My opinion about the product: I have used quite a few products of Jovees and had actually liked them all. Thus I had a high expectation from this product as well. But unfortunately I didn’t like this one at all!!
I basically purchased it as it was a herbal product and also had carrot extracts in it, which is well known to remove tan. But the moment I applied, it gave me a burning sensation. Not that my skin is very sensitive and all, but even then it was a very uncomfortable feeling after application of this pack.
Over and above, I can no way see it removing my tan. What best it does is control oil to a certain extent, and that is it! Thus I’m totally upset with this one. At least it does not remove tan in any way, and thus completely doesn’t satisfy what it claims.
My likes and dislikes regarding the product:
Likes:
- Mild fragrance,
- Herbal product,
- Has multani mitti, carrot extracts etc. which are good for skin,
- Controls oil to a certain extent.
Cons:
- Not at all effective in removing tan.
- Gives a burning sensation on application.
- Not SLS/Paraben free product.
Thus I would rate it 2.5/5. I am totally disappointed with this one and I would never repurchase it again L
