Hi Cuties!!!
Few days back I shared about Korean skin care routine which I am following these days. You can click Here to read that 🙂 I got few messages to do a post on Japanese skin care. I have done a lot research & in today’s post will be sharing Japanese Evening/Night Skin Care Routine. I am not following this routine as I am pretty happy with the Korean routine but those are are keen to know about Japanese skin care, guys this post is for you 🙂
1. Cleansing:
i. Make up removal: If you are a makeup lover then this is a must have step for you. The rule of thumb is to take at least as long to cleanse makeup off your face as it took to apply. In Japan, the most common types of cleansers used for this step are cleansing oils, but there is definitely a trend at the moment towards cleansing balms. But you can got with the cleanser which is easily available in our country. After that wash your with with lukewarm water & allow it to dry 🙂
ii. Face wash: Second step is to wash your face with a cleanser or face wash. But here it is compulsory to take foaming cleanser. Unique thing about Japanese foaming cleansers is that you work them into a very dense foam in your hands first, and then gently cover your face in the foam to cleanse.
2. Moisturizing: Post wash it is important to moisturize your skin with face lotion, in India mostly face creams are available but finding a face lotion is not that difficult. You have to apply lotion or you can up the ante and apply a lotion mask by soaking cotton squares and placing over the forehead, cheeks and chin.
3. Sheet Mask: Japanese women will apply an essence soaked mask to their skin at least one or twice a week. You will be amazed know that how many different types of masks are available in Japan but the most popular is hydrogel face mask. using essence sheet mask is pretty easy, you have to remove the essence sheet mask form the pack and apply directly to your face.
4. Serum: Next step is to apply serum. I am currently using Vitamin-C serum from Magic dust brand
5. Eye Cream: Eye cream is applied to the eye contour to hydrate, protect and treat the delicate eye area.
6. Night Cream or Sleeping pack: This is a common step which er Indian also follow. You have to apply a good night cream before going to bed.
You will find a lot similarities between Japanese & Korean Skin Care. No doubt Korean Skin care have more steps so it is completely up to you that which one you want o follow 🙂
