Hello friends. Today, I am going to review a primer from Innisfree, which is a Korean brand. Primers are absolutely necessary as a base for your makeup, so that it may last long. Plus, a primer works to erase the imperfections on the skin and gives you a smooth base to work on.

Price: INR 800
Quantity: 25 ml
Shelf life: 3 years
Directions for use: Take a tiny drop of the product on your palms and apply many tiny dots over the area with visible pores. Start tapping the primer and continue until it spreads evenly in the area. Avoid using excessive product as it might lead to flaking and clumping.
Packaging: The primer comes packed in a cardboard box, which contains all the details about the product. Inside the box, the product can be found in a tube, with a small opening that helps in extracting only a minute quantity of the product.
My opinion about the product: Since I have oily and sensitive skin, with visible pores around my cheeks and nose, I always need a primer to start my makeup. I came across this one at Nykaa and decided to give it a try, mostly because I was drawn to the ‘no sebum’ claim and the fact that it contains jeju natural minerals and natural mint.
The packaging is very convenient and you only need a very small pea sized amount of the product for best results. I use the tube to extract product and use my fingers to tap the primer lightly all over my face. It takes less than one minute to get the job done, after which, there is a visible difference in the appearance of the texture of my skin. It does an excellent job of blurring the uneven skin texture, minimises the appearance of pores and makes my skin smooth with lesser fine lines.
Applying makeup over this base is so effortless because it glides smoothly, without leaving behind any traces of flakiness or streaks of dryness. Also, because of this primer, my makeup tends to last longer than usual. Most importantly, the primer controls the appearance of oil around my T zone, which would otherwise appear very blotchy after 3-4 hours of makeup. However, after almost 4-5 hours of makeup application, some shine is visible around the cheeks, and the nose but it does not look tacky or puts you in need of touch ups.
The product is free of parabens, and offers UV protection since it contains titanium dioxide. It has a peach colour and will last really long, given the minute quantity that is used during application.
What I like about this product….
- Convenient packaging.
- Blurs pores mostly.
- Gives smooth skin.
- Contains low hazard ingredients..
What I do not like about this product….
- Pricey.
- Not completely true to all claims.
