When it comes to a shampoo, we really need to find something that suits our hair well and meets its cleaning requirements. A shampoo can be a best friend or a foe based on how well it suits our hair care routine. If you are looking for a good shampoo, you may try out Indulekha, which is an Ayurveda concoction.
Price: INR 234
Quantity: 200 ml
Shelf life: 2 years
Direction of use: Use a desired quantity of the shampoo to form a lather on the scalp and hair. Wash with water.
Packaging: The shampoo comes in a plastic container/bottle with a flip cap on top. The colour of the bottle is golden and the sticker on the back of the bottle contains all the details about the shampoo such as its ingredients, price and more. Although the bottle is opaque, you can get a faint idea about the remaining quantity against the backdrop of light.
My opinion about the product: Starting with the fragrance of the shampoo, you will find it quite strong. It smells prominently of all the Ayurveda ingredients which it is made with. As such, it does not linger on the hair after the wash though.
The shampoo has a thick, non-runny consistency which are dark brown colour, like mud.
I decided to go for the shampoo after my positive experience with the Indulekha hair oil. It is remarkable for a shampoo with all Ayurveda ingredients to deliver such excellent results on the hair. It cleans the scalp properly, with a mere coin sized quantity all over the scalp. If the hair has been oiled, you may need a second wash too, to remove the residue.
The claim made by the shampoo is that it controls hair fall and to some extent, it is right. However, it can only control external factors on your hair and scalp to prevent breakage. If there is some internal problem with your system, you may still witness hair fall due to that.
I will recommend using a conditioner after the shampoo since using it alone may cause dryness and frizz. Also, given the way it lathers on the hair, I am sure it is not entirely chemical free shampoo.
What I liked about the product:
- Reasonable packaging.
- Cleans scalp very well.
- Thick consistency.
- Can remove oil residue..
What I don’t like about the product:
- No extraordinary results to be expected.
- Is not chemical free.
