Hello Cuties!
Do you remember “Kyunki saas bhi kabhi bahu thi” show? The story was all about a Virani (Gujarati) family and the lead character “Tulsi Virani”. Most of the female member of this family used to wear seedhe palle ki saree.
This drape style resembles to a dupatta draped in a traditional Gujarati chaniya choli. It is pinned on the right shoulder. Instead of the classic pallu where saree’s loose end falls at the back. In this drape style the loose end covers the bosom area i.e it falls in the front.
In this video/post I am sharing step by step tutorial on how to wear Gujarati style saree 🙂
For draping a saree perfectly, you must keep these things in mind.
1. Your petticoat must contrast your saree well and you should always get the blouse stitched with good fitting. Loose blouses give a hideous look and will spoil whole look.
2. To get the saree tucked properly, you should use a handful of safety pins . Make sure you pin up nicely and hide the pins.
3. To know the exact length of your saree, you should wear your heels (footwear) before draping it. It would give you the exact height and would never need readjustments.
4. No pleats on Pallu with Net & Georgette saree.
