Hello Mommies!!!
If you have a toddler then I am pretty sure that your major problem will be feeding him/her. A lot of my friends complain that their baby is a fussy eater. It’s not like that mine little munchkin doesn’t throw tantrum. But I personally feel that a baby is a prince or princess of his/her house, “थोड़ा टेंट्रम तो बनता है ना boss” 😉 . With this Philosophy, I am always ready to run behind my boy saying “थोड़ा तो खा लो ” & believe me this is his favorite sentence & after hearing it he runs like that someone has said, “Bomb is here” 😂.
He is 20 months old now and eats almost everything (except chane, chole, rajma etc which I think he won’t be able to digest). So I thought to share a Food menu for toddlers, now let me make it clear that every kid is different & his or her preferences, taste, chewing capacity etc can be different. The menu I am sharing is for sample purpose & you have to include food keeping your baby in mind. Like one of my friend’s girl is 2 years old but still, she finds chewing a bit difficult so she needs to pick food keeping her chewing capacity in mind.
Breakfast:
Poha, Upma, Sandwich, Plain Dosa, Besan ka cheela, Vegetable vermicelli.
Banana pan Cake, Uttapam (Add as much veggies possible), Idli, Besan ka halwa.
Lunch
Dal & Rice, Stuffed Paratha (Filling can be of Aloo/Gobhi/Paneer etc), Kadi & Chawal
Curd Rice, Dalia (With lots of veggies), Chapati with dal or any other curry which kid would like to have.
* From the beginning, I have included curd in my baby’s diet so curd is a must thing for his lunch. Yes! I include it in winters too but I make sure that it’s not cold.
Snacks:
French fries, Fruits (like banana, apple etc), Potato wedges.
Aloo tikki, Pakora (bread/Paneer pakora or bhajia), Appe.
* In winters you can also give soup to your baby.
Dinner
Chapati with Okhra/Cauliflower/Potato etc, Khichdi with curd or raita (You can avoid curd if it doesn’t suit the baby in the night time)
Paneer bhurji with Chapati/ Puri, Masala Dosa, Mashed potato in bit of ghee.
There is no hard and fast rule that thing mentioned in breakfast can be given only in breakfast like you can give sandwich in snacks too or stuffed paratha can also be given in dinner too if your baby demands it. All we want is “Our babies eat well”
