Drishyam Hindi Movie Review

Hola Amigos!!!This Sunday we went to see the new thriller in town, “Drishyam”. The movie is remake of Malyalam movie of same name.

The plot basically revolves around Vijay Salgaonkar (Ajay Devgun) , a cable TV operator who lives with his family consisting of his wife Nandini ( Shriya Saran) and two daughters, Anju (Ishita Dutta) and Anu (baby Mrunal Jadhav). Vijay is a school dropout with 4th standard pass and is fond of movies.

One day Anju , goes on a school excursion where she meets Sam (Rishabh Chaddha) who is from another school. Sam is Son of IG Police, Goa jurisdiction and has bad habits one of them being as taking video records of girls. He does the same in camp and gets scolded by one of the girls. One day Anju sees Sam again and he shows her the video clip which he took while she was taking bath. She begs Sam to delete that clip but he in return demands sexual favour.

She tells her mother about the story Nandini went to help her. Both mother and daughter beg for help from Sam, but now he asks Nandini for sexual favour. in the Fit of fury , Anju tries to hit hand where he is holding his cell phone but instead hits him on head with a result of killing him instantaneously. Duo got afraid and buried him in home. Early morning when Vijay comes back, they narrate the story to him. Then it’s a series of incidents that took place and how Vijay tries to save his family from Inspector General of police Meera Deshmukh ( Tabu) who is searching for her son and interrogating Vijay and his family.

 One more interesting point in the story is corrupt Sub Inspector Gaitonde who sees Vijay driving Sam’s car and he solidifies Meera’s point of view of Vijay’s involvement in Sam’s disappearance. Will Vijay crumble under the oppression by dominant or will stand out.
Movie is life time thriller for me, as at no point it breaks the interest in it and you are bound to watch it continuously. Till the end police is not able to prove that Vijay is Guilty, how ? for that you must watch this movie…
