I have always known Clovia as a lingerie brand (they have a really good collection). So, when I received a mail from the brand that they want me to send their skin care products it came as a surprise. They have recently launched their skin care range and I received few products as a PR sample. No doubt this will not influence my opinion and as usual I will share my honest review about the same. In this post, I will be talking about Clovia Botaniqa Pink Clay Face Mask. Pink Clay Face Masks have been really popular in the beauty community recently, but many are rather expensive – Clovia Botaniqa option is relatively reasonably priced in comparison at 499 Rs.
About the product: Clovia Botaniqa Pink Clay Face Mask is Made in India and is a natural product with no toxins, paraben, or sulphate. This face mask is enriched with organic extracts like Himalayan clay, Australian clay, seaweed & pomegranate for an instant glow.

How it works:
1. Soothes skin: The himayalan clay present in this cleanses your pores and soothes your skin. It also treats acne and keeps your skin healthy.
2. Detoxifies skin: The Australian clay present in this shrinks the open pores and helps in brightening and detoxifying your skin naturally.
3. Anti- ageing: The seaweed present in this has anti-inflammatory properties that help in tightening your skin and makes your skin healthy.
4. Toning: The pomegranate present in this gives you a clear and flawless skin and helps in toning and firming skin cells.
How to use it:
Apply Clovia Botaniqa Pink Clay Face Mask evenly over cleansed face & neck and avoid the eye area.
Give it about 10 minutes to dry off completely.
Gently remove with lukewarm water and pat dry using a soft clean towel. Use once a week for instant brightening and glow.
Packaging: The clay mask comes in a transparent glass pot with white lid. The pot has brand name and other important information about the face pack. The glass pot comes in a white & Pink coloured outer box containing instructions to use, ingredients, about, price etc. It is advised to be used 2 or 4 times a week only. The packaging is pretty girlish and I like it 🙂
My opinion about the product: The first clay in this mask is Himalayan clay, which gently cleanses and pulls impurities from the pores without causing redness. It absorbs excess oils and it can help balance the oil production when it’s used over time. Because it doesn’t completely dissolve in water and makes a really nice paste, the crystals in the clay make a really great exfoliant. It’s also really gentle so can be used with any skin type, including those people with sensitive skin. The second clay is Australian clay which shrinks open pores and detoxifies and brightens skin.
I am using this face mask twice in a week. I apply a thin amount of the mask to my face and was pleasantly surprised at how far this mask went, meaning even though it seems like a small pot it will offer quite a few applications. I found applying with a brush was the best way to apply this thinly but you could easily apply with your fingers. The texture of this mask is very smooth & has a very refreshing fragrance.
The mask is really comfortable and doesn’t dry out like a lot of clay masks. Most of the time clay masks drain out skin moisture but this one hydrates your skin. Initially you will feel tingling sensation which is not at all bothering. I have a sensitive skin and my skin was absolutely fine with this, not only was it comfortable but didn’t leave my skin red afterwards. You need to keep it around 10 to 15 minutes as it dries out really fast. Taking it off is also really easy. Post application skin feels soft, hydrated and refreshed. Overall it is a really nice mask that’s gentle enough to be used fairly regularly and given how little product you need per application, offers good value.
