Roll ons are yet another way to keep you fresh and fragrant. However, due to the difference in their format as compared to deodorants and perfumes, the efficacy and performance of roll-ons can differ greatly. I remember using roll-ons a few years ago and feeling disgusted with their performance. Why? Because they used to leave a sticky film on the skin or else make my skin feel stretchy. Thankfully, we have brands like this, working to remove issues like that. Meet Chemist at Play, an upcoming skincare brand with a bunch of promising products. In this post, I am using Chemist at Play Underarm Roll On Controls Odour -5% AHA- Aqua Fragrance which I am currently using.
Category: An underarm roll-on is a product that is meant to deodorize the skin by rolling the product bottle over the area where you need to apply the product. The ball on the roller of such product leaves a liquid film of the contents of the bottle on the area of application. Usually, it does not take much time for the liquid to dry. Chemist At Play’s underarm roll-on is a brilliant formulation which helps remove odor causing bacteria and also helps treat pigmentation on the skin at the same time.
Ingredients: Purified Water, Lactic Acid, Fragrance, Propanediol, Mandelic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Polysorbate-80, Xanthan Gum, Allantoin, 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate, Rice (Oryza Sativa) Phytoceramides, Konjac (Amorphophallus) Phytoceramides, Phospholipids, Sphingolipids, Disodium EDTA.
- Mandelic Acid: Evens out the skin tone and treats hyperpigmentation and dark spots.
- Lactic Acid: Eliminates dead skin cell accumulation and lightens dark skin.
Price & Quantity: Each bottle of the roll on comes in a 40ml packaging at a cost of INR 399. Although it can sound a bit steep at first, I am going to give you some reasons in my review why it is worth this price.
How to use it:
- Roll the Odour Control Under Arm Roll On 3-4 times on your underarms post-shower.
- Allow it to dry and get absorbed into the skin.
- Do not apply to irritated/damaged skin or freshly waxed/shaven skin.
My opinion about the product: Ever since I started using Chemist at Play’s underarm roll-on, I have lost all my inhibitions about the idea of roll-ons which I was carrying with me for years now. I remember formulations that would leave my skin whitish or a sticky film on it. As always, using a roll-on has not been much of an issue since it is quite simple to use and apply.
Ingredients like Lactic acid and mandelic acid working on your skin, underarm pigmentation is only a few uses away from banishing. It also contains ceramides, which help to keep your skin healthy. I love this roll on because it is so effective at what it does with targeted ingredients that get the job done with little effort.
The formulation is available in 5 different fragrances and I have already used their aqua and royal oudh fragrance. I would suggest that you use this one every alternate day since regular use might pose certain problems for the skin due to the presence of active ingredients.
