When it comes to hair care, oiling has always been my go-to ritual. Hair feels dry? Oil. Looking dull and lifeless? Oil. Craving that post-wash bounce? You guessed it – oil. It’s almost muscle memory at this point. While I usually stick to good ol’ coconut oil, I also enjoy dabbling with different blends now and then.
Lately, rosemary oil has been making waves for its supposed hair growth benefits, so naturally, my curiosity was piqued. That’s when I stumbled upon the Bare Anatomy Nature x Science Rosemary Hibiscus Hair Growth Oil – and I’ll admit, the sleek bottle with the built-in applicator was what sold me instantly (yep, packaging wins again!).
Ingredients: Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil, Eclipta Alba (Bhringraj) Oil, Biotin, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Flower Oil, Hibiscus Sabdariffa (Hibiscus) Flower Oil, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Polysorbate 80, Bis-Ethoxydiglycol Cyclohexane 1,4-Dicarboxylate, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Oil, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-Di-T-Butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate, Glycerin, Redensyl (Purified Water, Sodium Metabisulfite, Larix Europaea Wood Extract, Glycine, Zinc Chloride, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract.)
Price: ₹299 (often available at a discount)
Quantity: 100 ml
How to use it: Just like any regular oil – 2 hours before a hair wash. On days when my hair is screaming for help, I leave it overnight and wash it off the next morning.
Packaging: It comes in a white fibre bottle with an airtight cap. The hero feature? That tapered nozzle applicator. It makes the application super precise and mess-free – ideal for scalp-focused oiling!
My opinion about the product: While I was excited about the rosemary and hibiscus combo, the main attraction was that no-fuss applicator. The oil itself is lightweight, non-sticky, and washes off easily with just one shampoo – major win for busy days.
However, the fragrance was a big letdown for me. It has a strong, ayurvedic smell that’s quite overpowering – I’d honestly prefer no scent at all. And while I wasn’t expecting miracles in terms of hair growth or reduced hair fall, I was hoping to see some results after consistent use over 2.5 months. Sadly, I didn’t notice any significant difference.
So would I repurchase it? Nope. For me, nothing beats classic coconut oil – old truly is gold! 😄
What I like about this product:
- Clever and easy-to-use applicator.
- Lightweight, non-sticky texture.
- Washes off in a single rinse.
What I do not like bout this product:
- Strong herbal fragrance that may not suit sensitive noses.
- Didn’t deliver on its hair growth or strengthening claims.
- Not worth a repurchase in my opinion.
