In this post, I want to share my thoughts on a product that I genuinely dislike. While it may seem harsh to begin on a negative note, I must admit that this is the first time I’ve encountered a product that I find completely useless. Let me introduce you to the Aqualogica 5 Barrier+ Repair Gentle Cleanser with Avocado & 5 Essential Ceramides. Avocado is a skincare powerhouse, packed with antioxidants and rich fatty acids. Its natural oils provide deep hydration, boost skin elasticity, and help prevent dryness. Additionally, the enzymes in avocado offer gentle exfoliation, revealing smoother, more radiant skin while promoting overall skin health.
About the product: Aqualogica’s 5 Barrier+ Repair Gentle Cleanser is a super mild yet highly effective face wash that’s making waves. What sets this cleanser apart? Infused with the nourishing power of Avocado and 5 Essential Ceramides, it effortlessly removes dirt, oil, and makeup without stripping your skin of moisture. Avocado, rich in fatty acids and Vitamins A, C, and E, fights free radicals to keep your skin youthful. The 5 Essential Ceramides—1, 2, 3, 4, and 6 II—lock in moisture and fortify your skin barrier from within. But that’s not all. Packaging: The product comes in a light blue, squeezable plastic tube with a green flip cap. The packaging is somewhat reminiscent of the Dot & Key face wash. It’s simple, sturdy, and convenient for travel.
My opinion about the product: The product itself has a consistency similar to that of a conditioner, making it appear more like a conditioner than a face wash. It doesn’t lather when mixed with water, which left me a bit puzzled after using it three times. I even double-checked the label on the tube to confirm that it is indeed a face wash. Using this face wash felt like applying conditioner to my face and then rinsing it off. I didn’t notice any visible effects or benefits from using it.
This face wash doesn’t provide any moisturizing effect, but it also doesn’t strip away moisture. The brand claims that its creamy, non-foaming texture helps maintain your skin’s pH balance, keeping the skin barrier strong and healthy. While I can’t fully vouch for these claims, my skin didn’t feel dry after using it, and I didn’t experience any irritation. However, aside from that, there isn’t much else positive to say about the product.
This is definitely not a product I would recommend, nor would I spend ₹ 249 to repurchase it.
