Hola!
How are you all? A few months ago, Face shop came out with a line with Trolls, and since I live in the India, it arrived here a little bit so late after it was launched in Korea. Nevertheless, when I first saw these displayed in stores, I can’t help adore the design of the packaging. I waited a while until they were on sale and decided to get their Oil Clear Blotting Powder! I know this review is a bit overdue, but I hope there’s still time left for to get this product in stores!
About the product: Oil blotting powder keeps the skin looking clear, prevents shine, and keeps makeup from darkening.
Provides a matte texture and makes the skin look clear and bright.
Oil cut effect prevents shine and keeps makeup from darkening.
Qt: 9 gm
Shelf life: Best before 24 months
Online availability: Here
Direction of use: Apply an adequate amount on face in a light patting motion by using puff.
Packaging: What else can I say about the packaging? From the box to the container, everything about this is so cute and adorable! It comes in a normal container similar to how other loose powders are packaged, but the design is simply A++. Too cute for my life!
My opinion about the product: Face shop powder instantly mortified my skin without changing my skin tone. On my break I went to check my makeup and found that I didn’t look too oily, and touched up my makeup around my T-zone. My foundation was still in place and applying an excess amount did no exaggerate any dry patches on my skin. I used this the next day, but as a touch up on my T-zone rather than to set it, and I found that it looked better than using it alone to set my makeup since it does not blur imperfections that well, but holds everything in place and smoothing out the look of my pores. After using it for awhile, I realized that it required slightly more effort to blend (so go as light as possible) since it isn’t as finely milled.
This applies better with a brush, in my opinion, since it applies like you rubbed flour all over your face if you don’t blend well with the puff. I have not yet tried the popular Innisfree version yet, along with the Aritaum one, which I would like to compare with in the future.
What I liked about the product
- Cute and limited edition packaging.
- Lightweight, does not cake up on my face.
- Smells good.
- Soft puff, perfect for the powder.
- Great for everyday use.
What I don’t liked about the product
- Not a very special/unique product.
- Huge availability issue.
- Gives a white cast especially under direct sunlight.
- Packaging is cute but not up to mark. (not useful information)
