I feel like my son has developed a new interest lately. Every day, he goes to Vishal Megamart, spends some time there, and eventually comes back with a game of hide and seek. You might be wondering why he goes there every day, but I’ve realized that life for a single child can be a bit dull. They need someone to play with. I’m doing everything I can to keep him busy and playful. Yes, my efforts may not be entirely successful, but I’m trying my best. When Aarav spends his time there, I also look around. Today, I saw Himalaya Pollution Detox Charcoal Face Wash on the shelf, and without second thoughts, I tried it. Sometimes impulsive decisions happen, or maybe it’s my guilt for wandering around without buying much. I’ve used it several times, and today, I’m writing a review about it. I hope you’ll like my review post dedicated to Himalaya Pollution Detox Charcoal Face Wash.
About the product: “Himalaya’s Pollution Detox Charcoal Face Wash combines Activated Charcoal with Green Tea in a distinctive formula. This soap-free face wash aids in detoxifying, purifying, and shielding the skin from pollution-induced dirt and excess oil, resulting in a complexion that is clear, revitalized, and radiantly healthy.”
Ingredients: Activated Charcoal, Green Tea
Price: ₹ 110
Quantity: 50 ml
Shelf life: Approximately 3 Years
How to use it:
- Wet Your Face: Start by splashing your face with lukewarm water. This helps to open up your pores and makes it easier for the face wash to cleanse your skin.
- Apply the Face Wash: Squeeze a small amount of face wash onto your palm. The amount may vary depending on the specific product, so check the instructions on the packaging.
- Lather: Rub your hands together to create a lather with the face wash. This lather will help to cleanse your skin more effectively.
- Apply to Your Face: Gently apply the lather to your face using circular motions. Make sure to cover all areas, including your forehead, nose, cheeks, and chin. Be careful around the sensitive eye area.
- Massage: Use your fingertips to massage the face wash into your skin. This helps to remove dirt, oil, and impurities from your pores.
- Rinse Thoroughly: Once you’ve massaged your face for about 20-30 seconds, rinse it off with lukewarm water. Make sure to remove all traces of the face wash.
- Pat Dry: After rinsing, pat your face dry with a clean, soft towel. Avoid rubbing your skin vigorously, as this can irritate it.
- Follow Up: Depending on your skincare routine, you may want to follow up with a toner, moisturizer, or other products.
Packaging: Himalaya has recently shifted its attention to enhancing packaging, introducing products adorned with attractive designs. Their new face wash is packaged in a white and green squeeze tube, with a subtle touch of black hinting at the inclusion of charcoal as a key ingredient. The green cap securely closes with a satisfying “Tik” sound, and all the necessary information is neatly displayed on the tube. Additionally, the packaging is designed to be travel-friendly for added convenience.
My opinion about the product: This face wash is black in color & has a slimy consistency. It carries a subtle fragrance reminiscent of green tea, which, while not overpowering, adds a pleasant touch. Post-application, there’s a cooling sensation, which might not be suitable for winter, although I personally find it acceptable. The face wash lathers efficiently and easily rinses off, leaving my skin feeling clean and smooth. Despite my initial expectations, it doesn’t include exfoliating particles.
This face wash effectively fulfills its promises of detoxifying, purifying, and shielding the skin from pollution-induced impurities. However, it tends to leave my skin feeling dry, particularly in areas like the forehead, upper lips, and chin. This dryness is especially noticeable since I have oily skin. Definitely a product not for dry skin people. While it proves to be a suitable choice for summer with its refreshing cooling sensation, I wouldn’t recommend it for winter use. It’s worth noting that Himalaya products are affordably priced, making them accessible even to students on a budget.
