Hello every one,
Today I am gonna talk about dupattas, those dupattas which are must have for all girls out there! To get a new cloth on daily basis is not everyone’s cup of tea right? So what we can do is mix and match things to give a new look with the old cloths, you know “Old is Gold” 😉 For instance, you can style u a simple black kurti with a dupatta or a shrug or jacket etc etc. Likewise, today I will be telling you all about 6 such dupattas which fall in that ‘must-have’ category so that with one single kurti itself you can get different different looks!! This way, even if you wear same dress back to back, it won’t look repetitive at all. So let’s see what are those dupattas:
Banarasi dupattas: So this I would categorise as the first must have dupatta. I have basically two banarasi dupattas. These banarasi dupattas are heavy material, which carries a rich look. Its slightly on the expensive side, for example an original banarasi dupatta will cost you around Rs. 1000/- or even beyond. The best part on investing such a dupattas is that it gives a very grand and rich look to even a simple kurti-pajama or a Patiala. It instantly glams up your entire look with the intricate and beautiful work that it has. Now-a-days even you get banarasi dupattas online, those even though may not be the original banarasi material, but has pretty much the same look and will be much within budget. I would recommend you to take these types of dupattas in some vibrant colour like red, golden or dark blue as brighter the colour grander will it look!
Cotton dupattas: Bright coloured cotton dupattas will again give a gorgeous look to any kind of solid coloured kurtis. It will be more preferred as a workplace wear as this type gives you a nice classy look. You can get these types at a MRP of around Rs.500-600/-. Pair up this dupattas and a simple kurti with some oxidised jewellery, and you are good to go!!
Net dupattas: Net dupattas are these days found everywhere, in various quality and colours. Preferably don’t go for a very cheap one in this variant as that will not be of a good quality and can tear off anytime. Prefer a net dupattas with a heavily worked boarder to give it a richer look. The speciality of this one is that it goes not only with kurtis but you can also team it up with crop top and skirt duo. A good quality net dupattas will again cost you around Rs. 1000/-.
Fulkari dupattas: A good fulkari dupattas with nice mirror work is the one which you should definitely have. This kind of dupattas have a very heavy embroidery work which is very classy. This will give you that typical Punjabi girl look. Pair up this dupatta with a short kurti, a patiala and yah that desi Punjabi look is on! This costs around Rs. 500/-.
Bandhni Print dupattas: Bandhni Prints dupattas are a specialty of Rajasthan. You will get like ample varieties in this type of dupattas. You can get it at a price as low as Rs. 100/- too from the local markets to even as high as Rs. 1000/-. I would recommend you to have at least one of this dupattas with lace work as these are very very colorful variants and will instantly give you a glam look with this one.
Gorgette shiffon dupattas: Needless to say, this variant is available with almost every one of us. I would recommend you to take this dupattas variant with golden work and tassel at the ends. The speciality of this one is that it is very light-weight, but carries a vibrant and rich look which will be very much preferred as summer dupattas. You can get it at a price as low as Rs. 100/- too from the local markets to even as high as Rs. 500/-.
So yes, these are those 6 dupatta variants which you all girls should have in your wardrobe to create new new looks with your same old kurtis!!
