Hi Readers,
If you have a sibling(s) then you will definitely understand this concept of barter exchange which takes place between them. I have two younger brothers and we too keep doing that 😉 My brother asked for the serum which I have from brand WOW. So, I asked for his Shea Butter and Cocoa Butter Moisturizing Body Lotion from the same. In this post I will be talking about the same, if you still thinking I am a bad a** . Then I will say क्या करूँ ओह लेडीज, मैं हूँ आदत से मजबूर!
About the product: WOW Skin Science Shea & Cocoa Butter Body Lotion is a fast-absorbing moisturizer that gives intensive moisture and hydration that’s suitable for dry skin types, including thirsty and parched skin. It has been powered with Shea & Cocoa Butters, Argan & Sweet Almond Oils, Beetroot Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, D Panthenol(Pro Vitamin B5) and Tocopheryl Acetate(Vitamin E). Its non-greasy and quick absorb formulation wipes away every trace of dryness to leave the skin satiny smooth and richly nourished. Regular application of this moisturizer helps the skin retain hydration, repair damage, boost collagen and soothe inflammation for youthfully vibrant skin.
Ingredients:
Price: 399 Rs
Quantity: 300 ml
How to use it:
Step 1: Wash and cleanse your body. Dab it dry, leaving it slightly damp.
Step 2: Take a generous amount of the lotion and apply all over your body, starting from the leg upwards.
Step 3: Massage the lotion in circular motions using your fingertips. For extra dry areas, lightly press the lotion into the skin as you apply it.
Packaging: This lotion comes in a dark, opaque bottle with a pump dispenser which spurts just the right amount of product to prevent wastage. It’s damn easy to use and carry in you bag. The back label has all the relevant information for you to make an informed choice. However, a lot of information is crammed into a relatively small area making it slightly unreadable. As I always say WOW products packaging never disappoints.
My opinion about the product: Generally lotions are runny in nature but this lotion has a bit thick yet creamy consistency. To be more precise the consistency is in-between a lotion and a body butter, which I really love. The fragrance is bit disappointing, for me it smells like fevicol (I guess, I have very sensitive nose). Generally Cocoa butter based products smell like cocoa which has a heavenly fragrance but this one really has an artificial fragrance. The lotion is completely non-sticky, non-greasy and completely light weight. It gets absorbed also quickly and well. The goodness of Shea butter and Cocoa butter makes it even better. It is definitely good for normal to dry skin.
The hydration power is awesome but not as per brand’s claim. According to it hydrates your skin for 24 hours but for me it works around 8-9 hours which is again really good. Overall it is a decent product but then the price is on higher side as you paying 399 Rs. for 300 ml. To be honest I will not repurchase it as there is nothing too good about the product (Apart from packaging). I would prefer try a new product or repurchasing an older one 9which I have used in past).
What I liked about the product:
- It’s a hydrating lotion and does its job really well.
- All-natural ingredients.
- NO Mineral Oils, Parabens, Silicones, Colours or Polyethylene Glycol.
- Comes with a dispenser pump for ease of use and reduced wastage.
- Cruelty-Free.
- 100% Vegan.
What I don’t liked about the product:
- For oily skin, this could be useful during winters but can be avoided during summers.
- The fragrance is disappointing.
- Price is on higher side.
