Bonjour beautiful people,
Even though I generally greet you guys in French, you best believe that I’m the biggest Korean drama fan there could be. Since I started watching them, I got awestruck by the beauty of these Korean women, and their makeup game. So I slowly started getting integrated into Korean beauty and makeup products. The Korean makeup trend that I loved the most had to be how they wear their lipsticks. A light tint of bright colours blended and faded outwards. So today we will be talking about a Korean branded lip product, THE FACE SHOP WATERY TINT.
Ingredients: Purified water, Butylene glycol, Glycerin, Aloe vera leaf juice, Damask rose flower, Ammonium acryloyldimethyltaurate / Vipicopolymer, Polyacrylate crosspolymer-6, Dipropylene glycol, (1) (CI 45410) of Red No. 104, CI 77891, CI 77891), red cyanide, , Red No. 102 (CI 16255)
Price: 420 INR
Quantity: 5g/0.17 OZ
Shelf life: 12 Months
Packaging: the thing about Korean products is that they have the most cute and aesthetically pleasing packaging, hence, this product isn’t any different. It comes in a hard and sturdy transparent bottle, with a white coloured screw cap, which holds the applicator. The applicator is a feather doe foot applicator.
My opinions on the product: Starting of by saying, that this product is not a lipstick, but a lip tint. The formula of the product is of a water gel type. The tint will go on the lips completely wet and sticky like lip gloss, but in no time it’ll dry down to a soft matte finish. The intensity of the product depends on how much quantity has been actually used. This particular gel is extremely pigmented, and you need a very little amount of the product. You can use 3-4 dots to get that faded out Korean woman look, or you can full on swipe it all over your lips to get maximum coverage.
The tint tends to settle down on fin lines, so make sure to prep the lip well before application. Also, try to have a fast hand while blending the product onto the lips, because it dries down pretty fast. The particular shade I am reviewing is my most favorite, 05 CHERRY RED, which is a maroon-ish wine colour, giving off a vampy yet cutie vibe off.
What I like about the product….
- Price.
- Pigmentation.
- Shade range.
- Availability.
What I don’t like about the product….
- Drying on chapped lips.
- Has a legit sweet taste.
ZZM Rating: 3.5/5
Concluding, you should get this product as it is very good for everyday use also, the price fits perfectly.
